So I just watched all of Farscape in the past 10 days and absolutely loved it! Great frellin show! It got a lot more time than our beloved Firefly. It's different from Firefly, but still very, very good. I wish Firefly had the run that Farscape had.

If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly recommend checking it out. It's currently streaming from Netflix right now, but only Seasons 1-3. I went and bought the boxed set and the Peacekeeper Wars after watching all of it on Netflix.

I agree. Farscape was a great series, but I think Firefly would have been better if it had been given the chance (GORRAM FOX EXECS!!!!!). I've noticed that Walmart has season four for basically 20 bucks, and is well worth the buy. Other than that, I'd probably try Overstock or E-bay for your fix.

Keep an eye out for the complete series box set - I've seen it as low as $65 recently.

I just bought the box set for $64 on amazon. I also picked up the Peacekeeper Wars. Freaking awesome show. And I agree, had Firefly had the same amount of run, it would have been as good if not better.

STORYMARK

LOVE Farscape. I still have not forgiven SciFi/Syfy for screwing that show over.

As much as we hate Fox for killing Firefly - it was a low rated show. Farscape was the second highest rated show they had (only dropping to 2nd from 1st in it's 4th year), and the network had already announced a season 5 to the cast crew and fans - then reneged on it.

I dropped my digital cable (as SciFi was about the only channel I watch that wasn't on basic), and ever since have refused to watch anything on Syfy. Even if it's something I want to see - I'll either download a torrent or wait for DVD. Screw skiffy (as we 'Scapers called them back in the day).

I got into Farscape late, and only have the boxed set and PKW in my 'collection', but I'd also want to see more stuff.
Webisodes, while nice, wouldn't be a substitute for another season, tho'. Still, like the comics coming out, it would be better than nothing, I guess.

SINGATE

I have not seen most of these episodes since they originally aired because I refused to pay $100+ per season. As much as I loved this series nothing is worth that kind of coin to me. Anyway, I am about halfway through season 4 and find myself just as blown away as I was nearly 10 years ago. This is still high quality stuff.

One thing that caught me off guard is how much I enjoy Rygel. I remember him coming off as really annoying, now he may be my favorite character. On a similar note I am absolutely convinced that he and Pilot are real.

Instead of listing all the great things about this show I'll narrow it down to a few of my favorite moments:

Crichton and D'Argo's conversation just before they take out Scorpy's base.

Jool and Crais freaking out after they are covered by alien bits.

Rygel taking candy from children then pleading with Crichton for anything containing sugar.

Talyn and Crais starburst at the end of season 3.

Scorpius walking up the watery stairs on his command carrier. A truly iconic visual.

Crichton and 1812 performing a duet.

D'Argo vs. Crichton Looney tunes style.

There are dozens of other great bits throughout the series but these have stuck with me from the moment I first saw them and have only been reinforced by watching the DVDs. I cannot recommend this series highly enough. There are only a few of episodes I did not enjoy. For a series that had a run of 88 that is pretty damn impressive. It would have been nice for a 5th season to tie everything up but it could have been worse, we could have only gotten 13 episodes.

AURAPTOR

America loves a winner!

Lots to like about Farscape. Some of it went a bit loopy for me, story wise, but as for the characters, who wouldn't like Ben Browder and Claudia Black ?

Loved seeing them again on Stargate, too.

The T.Rex they call JANE!

I wouldn't have watched SG-1 if it weren't for Farscape (as the only reason I decided to watch SG-1 was because of Browder and Black).
As with Farscape, I hope there's more stuff in the future (i.e., mini-series? feature length thingy? new season? ) for SG-1 (and SG: Atlantis...I just recently started watching and enjoying it. Another show I would have missed if I had missed out on Farscape).
I want to see more Vala.

As for wrapping things up: I think Peacekeeper Wars did a good job. I mean, while I still want more, it was, IMHO, a good point to end/wrap up Farscape's rather epic story.

TRAVELER

Farscape is right up there with Firefly. Fortunately Farscape was launched by a more progressive network. I am hoping they will do a sequel.

I bought the entire series on Amazon for $64 - all four seasons. And the Peacekeeper Wars was only like $12. Well worth it.

The new comics are pretty decent, too. So far there's been a 4 issue mini set right after PK Wars, two D'Argo prequel minis , and the regular monthly just released it's second issue.

I was willing to pay the initial Amazon price of $109 until another Browncoat pointed out that Deep Discount was selling it at $75. I jumped all over that deal. Funny thing is that Amazon slashed the price down to $52 about a week later. Hard to be upset because getting the entire series anywhere below $100 is an absolute steal.

I'm definitely going to pick those up as well. Thinking about waiting until they are all on hard cover to buy them, though.

I believe the hardcover of the first mini was just released - or about to be.
