Why not just use this handy-dandy reference chart, then ?

One thing that never fails to amuse me is winding up people like VHEMT who always seem to be calling for a Class One.

"If it's so bloody important to you, why are you still sucking air, ya friggin hypocrite ?"

Technically, it means there's nowhere that's better than where you are, in a general sense. Hidden sanctuaries do not figure into the "apocalypse" label, IMO. So, if America was wiped out, but all other countries remained reasonably habitable & functioning, no apocalypse.

And, of course, the simplest, easiest disqualification of all, that everyone seems to have overlooked, is that Dark Angel wasn't a movie, but rather a TV series.

LOL, and there IS that.

The end of the movie "Supernova"

Select to view spoiler:

leaves us just a few decades until the created event leads the entire universe into the next Big Bang.
Now, THAT'S ARMAGEDDON!

This is my understanding of the word, Mike.
So I'd label Dark Angel Post-major-economic-event, but not post-apocalypse.

The laughing Chrisisall

Using that, any film set after August 6th 1945 qualifies. Not total, but devastation was certainly great.
The origin of the word apocalypse had no reference to "nuclear" anything.
Nobody says Red Dawn? They had nukes.

Seen Legion?
More verge-of-the-apocalypse, and Gabriel is played by another Dark Angel alum.

What I appreciate about Mila Kunis is that she is slowly building up to superstardom, not in the Miley Cyrus/Lyndsey Lohan/Megan Fox kind of way, but more in the Scarlett Johanson way. Small to medium roles building upon her acting rather than purely on her looks.

Imagine this young woman got a part opposite Denzel. She's definitely on her way. Loved her in Sarah Marshall (she outshined Kristen Bell).
She's quite the looker, love those eyes.

Okay, enough drooling.

Zardoz actually holds up well & looks beautiful (photographed by Geofrey Unsworth, who did the first Superman).

Anyone remember "The Quiet Earth?" Small flick, but interesting.

BTW, Doomsaday was indeed BAD, but entirely TOO MUCH derivative fun.

I just realized: these guys have managed to redefine Apocalypse Now as No Apocalypse Whatsoever.
