How should Buffy end, in the last season ever ?

I actually got a new theory, after last night's Buffy. I don't like it myself :-), but just to speculate:

The First is the ultimate evil and it has that much more power because Buffy shifted the balance when they brought her back from the dead. Thats said, I think we can safely assume that to have a balance, there must also exist an ultimate good to balance the ultimate evil. Kinda Yin and Yang, one can't exist without the other. So if the First is the ultimate evil, then Buffy could be the ultimate good.

And to get rid off the ultimate evil, one (and maybe the only) way would be for Buffy to not exist anymore. (I don't want to say "die", because she died already and it didn't help. I suspect there must be magic involved to kind of kill the soul as well or something)

As said, I don't like that ending myself, but it seems kinda likely to me. It also would be logical to the whole "Buffy shouldn't even be here" situation.

Joss and Co. are really good about forshadowing events well before they come to fruition.

Tara and Buffy (before Tara's untimely demise) had a conversation about why Spike could hit her without his chip going off. Buffy thought she had come back wrong. Tara's response was that all she really had different was the equivalent of a deep subtropical tan at a celluar level. At the time I took it to mean that whatever difference that Buffy came back with was probably cosmetic and not a fundamental difference.

However, now we are learning that the reason the First is back (and stronger than ever) has to do with Buffy's return somehow upsetting the balance of power.

Hmmmmm.

Could this mean that Buffy's demon-slayer power is somehow different from the one pre-resurrection?

Just throwing out a thought as to what might affect the final outcome....

You know what I think should happen? Remember how when Buffy first died and they did mouth-to-mouth on her to bring her back to life, but the next slayer was still activated? Well what if, since Faith is the latest activated slayer, they kill Faith for a second, bring her back through CPR and activated the next slayer, which is bound to be one of the potentials.

Then kill that one for a second and bring her back too, and so on and so on until there is an army of slayer women. After all, did we ever hear a rule that only a certain number of slayers can’t exist at the same time?

I think they should kill Buffy off.

But that's my minority opinion. They're gonna end it happy though. I for one considered the show over when Buffy took the high dive to close the dimensional rift. I'm not a very up person.

Has anyone ever considered that there is one test that never fails to tell if it is all a dream, only in a very, very bad incoherent thing can it fail. This is not a very, very bad incoherent thing, so it should work.

If stuff happens where the person isn't, then it's not a dream. The only one who could see all that happens is the first, so unless you're saying that the first, or perhaps god, is the one dreaming; it's not a dream.

Anyway, there is a big diffrence between a happy ending and a happy cheery really fake seeming ending, so don't knock the posiblity of a happy ending.

Why does everyone want Faith to die? I guess that despite the fact that there is a hell in it Buffy isn't really Christian, but I thought Angel made a good point about saving souls. Faith is good now, buffy was going to let everyone die so she could prove herself right. The fact that she was right doesn't matter, she was going to let them die for pride.

Faith should live, she has earned it, just like Angel has earned it. They made a point of that in Angel, despite what she has done she has earned life, and is needed.

Nahhhhhhh... even though I have read all the spoilers and written a few of my own... and I have seen clips of the final episode... I want it to end in a different way....

Due to the fact that there is an interference in the Slayer line... Buffy and Faith will have Willow do an intricate spell that will help in determining which one is doing the damage... which pushes the Great Witchy One into the darkness again...

Xander... whose role has been shadowed over with the potentials getting in the way... will step up to the plate and slink off to find the Evil Willow... doing his humour and attempt at being practical in the face of complete and total horror... he tries to talk to Willow... who won't have anything to do with him... She kind of wiggles her nose thing and Xander is once again tied up above the Seal ... Willow cutting him and letting his blood open the seal...

Buffy and the Gang have no idea where Willow is... or where Xander went off to... though Anya has been getting feelings ... almost a sense that he is in trouble...

Meanwhile... The First meets up with Willow... trying to convince her in the form of Tara that it was Buffy's fault for her death.... That Buffy should pay the ultimate price... The First's words influence Willow... so much so that Willow is upset from what the First is saying... and she does her dark voodoo that she do and axes the First goodbye...

Spike uses his senses to find Xander... and when he brings him back to the house... Xander barely remembers what happens... but is able to tell Buffy and Faith that Willow is unreachable ... and the slayerettes get all spooked... especially Kennedy...

Kennedy goes outside to think... stressing and straining over Willow... worrying what will have to happen if Buffy and Faith can't save Willow from herself... and Faith comes out to talk to Kennedy... its then that Kennedy realizes that she may not have been as prepared as she thought she was... but Faith bitchslaps some sense into her... Which has an adverse affect... causing Kennedy to run off...

Buffy chides Faith for that... but is interupted by Anya... who says that Xander wants her... the whole squad goes to see Xander... who says that he just wants to talk to Buffy... He knows that he has lost too much blood... and asks Buffy to relieve him of the pain... Buffy can't... she won't.... and slowly Xander slips away...

Faith comes in with Angel... who was sent for by Willow before she became the Big Evil... and they see Buffy... hunched over and crying... she sees them... and straightens herself up... Angel asks if there is anything that he can do... but Buffy brushes him aside and goes to the slayerettes... and tells them that now is the time to stand... she is tired of just talking and not doing... She doesn't care if they dont have the experience or not... because they will be getting some...

Dawn gets the "I'm too cute to fight look" and suggests that they wait since Willow isn't here... and its then that she sees Angel walking with Faith into the room... once again she gets all grumpy with Buffy's former boyfriends... and goes to her room...

During all this... Willow has opened the Seal with the help of some reluctant blood donors... and she now controls the Ubervamps... and has them surround the school... making sure that if Buffy and her troop try to attack... they won't make if very far...

When Anya finds out that Xander died... she reverts to her demon ways and hunts down The First because none of the Scoobies know that Willow got rid of it...

Buffy convinces the squad to come with her... and with weapons and Spike in hand... they all go charging towards the Seal... Angel stays back to bury Xander... and promises to be there as soon as possible... Angel... then becomes reminescent and recalls the last time he fought with Buffy... and is shaken when he sees Willow standing before him... She appears normal... but when she gives him a big ol bear hug... she removes his soul at the same time... causing him to revert back to Angelus...

Buffy and the gang along with the talents of Spike and Faith break into the school even with the Ubervamps attacking... and despite lack of fighting experience... the slayerettes don't do too bad... a few die here and there... but the decent ones keep going... Anya kicking major ass along with them... and even Andrew in between squeaks and whimpers and witty remarks takes a few vamps out...

Willow has kind of teleported her and Angelus back to the Seal... and they wait to see if the Buffy / Faith brigade can reach the seal without dying...

Even with some casualities and few deaths... the gang reaches the entrance to the Hellmouth and see Angel there... Spike feels that something is wrong... but can't place it until he sees into Angel's eyes... but by then its too late... Buffy has already walked over next to Angel to look into the opened Seal... and before Spike can react... Angel bites Buffy... holding her at bay so she can't fight back... making the group watch as he drains her... Spike whispers the name Angelus... and then Willow appears from the shadows... saying... No... Not Angelus... He's a puppy... I'm the bitch...

Angelus tosses Buffy at the opened Seal... and attacks Faith... and though Faith vowed to never kill Angel... she realizes she has to now because he will wipe out everyone... Spike lunges for Buffy before she drops into the Hellmouth... but doesn't get a firm hold of her... and she falls into the Hellmouth...

Spike... who is unbelievably pissed... attacks Angelus along with Faith... who has become mortally wounded... and Spike takes out Angelus... leaving those that are alive to stare at Willow... wondering what to do with Buffy gone and Faith out of commission...

Its then that Willow starts talking about how good it feels to be completely taken in by evil... and mentions a little something about enjoying Xander's death... and Anya goes nuts... Willow barely gets a sweat and deals with Anya... stripping her of the vengence demon powers... and flays Anya the same way she did Warren...

Suddenly there is a shout from behind everyone... and its Kennedy... holding a quite large book... and trying to recite latin... Willow gives an amused look until the book gets this white light eminating from it... and encases Kennedy in it... causing her to levitate and when her eyes open... they are completely white... and Tara's voice comes out instead of hers...

Willow is shocked and slowly the evil weakens inside her... she falls to her knees in front of the floating Kennedy... the bright light that surrounds Kennedy shoots out of her... and forms into a slightly see through Tara... Kennedy is on the floor... passed out from the ordeal...

Tara does the walking on air thing and gently holds Willows face in her heads... there are tears on her ghostly cheek... and whispers just loud enough for those close enough to hear... I'm so sorry baby... and with a flick of the wrist... Tara kills Willow in order to stop the evil from hurting her or anyone again... a tortured Tara reaches into Willow and retrieves her spirit from the lifeless body... Its a good Willow... and they hold each other close as they do an evaporate thing and ascend... Kennedy awakens and sees enough to whisper goodbye...

The gang regroup and Faith says that she will be fine... the dusted Angel/Angelus gone... Anya gone... Xander and Willow gone... and Spike gazes down at the Hellmouth as the seal starts to close... and they all walk out...

There is a little white decal on the bottom of the screen stating one month later... and the Summer's residence door is busted wide open with Buffy standing there... disheveled and quite pale... Spike is at a loss for words... and without warning... Buffy attacks Dawn... only because she recognizes her and the Big B is now a vamp... before Buffy can bite... Spike has to make a choice of what to do... he reaches for a weapon... and grabs a stake... and right before he is able to dust Buffy.........

END CREDITS...

hehe...

Wow that was long... but hey... when your imagination is running... and you are trying to fit in at least most of the major characters... its going to take some talking...

I'm pretty sure that Xander's actor Nicholas Brendon, is doing another pilot, and won't be around in the buffyverse after this. Not that he will die, but both he and Eliza Dushka have moved on to different works.

I feel that the only way for Buffy to end has to be in one of two forms. Her descenscion into the hell mouth, or her being raised to heaven again. Not necessarily dead, but raised, somewhat like Cordelia was. I would think that of these two, either is likely, but her going into the hellmouth, and taking a couple of characters with her, might just be a fit ending. Afterall, her entire existance has been about sacrifice, and what would be a more fitting sacrifice than holding back the demons of hell while Willow closes the hellmouth. Spike and Xander could very well be with her. This would make sense, as Angel could later find Spike in the hell dimension as the only one still alive. I think Xander has to go, because all in all, he is the one that truly loves Buffy. If I was in his place to me it would be the greatest gift I could give the person I loved. Like the woman on the titanic who gave up her seat to drwon with her husband. Ok, you can call me a helpless romantic but it is true.

(spoiler)spike should be wearing some kind of medalien that sucks sunydale into hell, (but all the residents part ffrom the scooby gang hav lft!) Willow shld make all the potential slayers all around the world have there full strength and so buffy can face the end of the world with loads of other helpers, the only ppl that die should b (not cos i dnt like them) anya nd spike(sacrifice boy) it shld end with the scooby gang getting off a bus and dawn asking buffy what shld they do tomorow and buffy smiling.....(/spoiler)
