The death of Halfrek in this episode would appear to lay to rest any speculation that she is related to the effulgent Celicy from Fool for Love (although, in a show where virtually ever character has died at least once and gotten better, perhaps not). Both Halfrek and Cecily were played by the same actress, Kali Rocha. In Older And Far Away, Halfrek's first appearance in the series, she and Spike appear to recognize each other; in fact, she calls him William. Even the timeline could fit, as Cecily was (presumably) human in 1880 and Halfrek's earliest appearance to date is 1905 (as seen in this episode). On the other hand, it's entirely possible that the same actress is merely playing two different roles, and the Spike/Halfrek meeting was simply an in-joke. So much for ending speculation....
