I was watching Pleasantville on TV the other day, and I noticed a couple of familiar faces... Danny Strong and Marc Blucas are both in it (Jonathan & Riley, respectively). Surprisingly, Danny had a bigger part that Marc. He actually had quite a few lines, and I don't think Marc had any.

It's always great to spot some of the Buffy crew elsewhere. Anyone else spot any Buffy folks hiding out in other movies? I know Seth Green, SMG & Eliza Dushku have been in quite a few, and I'm sure Alyson Hannigan is probably better known as the band camp girl than Willow. But what about the rest of the Scoobs?

Also, did you guys ever notice that Tom Lenk was in another episode as a vampire? He was one of Harmony's lackies in ep 5.2 The Real Me.

OK, no one else is interested in this thread, but I just have to add that we watched "Can't Hardly Wait" this weekend, and there is a hysterical moment of screen time for Amber Benson... She's totally stoned out of her mind staring at a Banana like it's a work of art. :)

Eliza Dushku and Amber Benson are in a movie together... I forget the name but it's about a man and a woman who go on vacation and fall in love and they play the daughters.

Weren't Michelle Trachtenberg and Sarah Michelle Gellar in All My Children together?

Umm... Seth Green was in the original Buffy movie... in a scene that was cut out.

Anya was in 90210... I know that's not a movie, but she was in it nontheless.

I've been on a Seth Green kick lately.. so I rented Hotel New Hampshire from netflix. He is such a cute little kid in that movie! He's like 5 or 6. :) He has this little tiny voice. (really weird movie, though... although interesteing). Also watched "Can't Buy Me Love" over the weekend where Green plays Charlie, the little brother of the main character. Silly 80's fluff movie. It was pretty funny.

David Boreanez was in that movie "Valentine" with Denise Richards.

Marc Blucas was in a movie called "They" I believe.

Michelle Tratchenberg was in "Harriet the Spy" and "Inspector Gadget"

And the guy who played Quentin Travers was in "The Emperor's Club"

I'm trying to recall, but I can't think of anymore. I think Marc Blucas also had a small part in "Sunshine State" but I don't really remember.

Big Business. That was Seth Green? I'm looking at IMDB and it's been years and years since I've seen the movie, but I'm guessing he was the obnoxious brat that played Bette Midler's son.

I just watched My Step-Mother is an Alien the other day. (I went on a Seth Green kick from netflix. I'm expecting "Rat Race" to arrive tomorrow or so...) Alyson Hannigan was such a cute little girl! And Seth Green cracked me up as the "date" with that bright red hair and the braces in that little white suit. :) Just love finding stuff like that. I wonder if it was funny for them to come back and be dating again in Buffy after having dated in that movie.

Has it already been mentioned that Seth was in Josie and the Pussycats? The movie was pretty fluffy teen comedy stuff, but the stuff with Seth and the rest of the band "du jour" on the plane was hysterical... Seth saying to the manager "would you tell him to stop doing my face? that's my face, and there he is on the cover of this magazine, doing my face!"

Ok, so this is pretty much the "bob talking to herself" thread, but I just have to point out a couple of other familiar faces I've seen... this time Firefly-ish. in Our Mrs. Reynolds, I spotted Benito Martinez, who plays the police Captain in The Shield. Also, (already commented in another thread...) last night while flipping channels I saw Nathan Fillion in Blast from the Past getting punched in the nose by Brendan Fraser. which got me started on IMDB, where they list Adam Baldwin as a cast member of Buffy's episode "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date" (episode 5, season 1). Now, my DVD player is on the fritz, so I can't pop in my Season 1 discs and watch it for myself tonight... and Buffyguide.com doesn't list him. Has anyone else watched this episode recent enough to remember if our beloved Jayne was in it, and if so, who did he play? All I can think is maybe the Jesus-freak turned Vamp that Buffy torches in the cremating machine? Anyone know?

Seth Green's been in pretty much everything including 90210, the episode where Brenda and Kelly go out with 2 geeky younger guys. I also spotted him in a Cybill rerun on Oxygen last week. He's also supposed to be in an upcoming "That 70"s Show" ep.
Did anyone see the 2 Birds of Prey episodes that ran a few weeks ago? Did you notice that at the high school reunion the guy Helena used to have a crush on was Owen from "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date"? I didn't find him particularly attractive in either one.
"Independence Day" ran on Sunday night. Adam Baldwin (Jayne) was Major Mitchell. The one who organized the pilots or something.

I know this wasn't a movie but since we are already listing t.v. shows....Pretty much my favorite Seth Green spot was on another show that fox screwed up, The Family Guy. The way he does the voice is ruttin funny as a fox programming meeting (a.k.a. "hell"). I just saw that Family Guy is coming out on DVD. If you never saw this show (which is highly likely since fox moved it all over the place) it is worth checking out and is another one of those shows rewatching an ep you pick up even more. Most of the funniest jokes will likely pass over younger viewers, but damn, this show was funny.

Allright, season 2 of B5, season 4 of BTVS, Family Guy, damn I'll be low on money for a while. At least knowing another show like FG that fox screwed is coming out makes me hope Firefly will be out soon. I need to see the "forgotten 3", and hopefully some good commentary and interviews.

This was supposed to be in my last post but what about Nathan? It has not been mentioned here but he was in a sitcom called "Two guys a girl and a pizza place" which later in it's life was "two guys and a girl". Nathan started as a jukebox repairman (I used to be a jukebox, videogame, pinball guy) so I liked this show. Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder) was one of the stars. I can't remember the other guy's name or the blonde girl that Nathan ended up getting married to. If you remember her name please let me know. The show generally sucked (It was on ABC) but the blonde was hot and I liked Nathan. What was the blonde's name and what has she done?

Traylor Howard was the name of the girl (Sharon) in Two Guys and a Girl - she was also in Me, Myself and Irene as Jim Carrey's wife who ran off and left him.

I liked Two Guys and a Girl - admittedly mainly because I liked Fillion even back then!

Eliza Dushku was also Arnie's daughter in True Lies.

IMDB also says that Fillion was in Saving Private Ryan, as one of the other Ryan brothers, but I don't really remember him too well. Looking forward to seeing him again real soon!

I read somewhere that Summer Glau was a ballet dancer, and that she was in an episode of Angel (one of the few I've actually seen). I remember Nathan on Two Guys & a Girl. I startled my lil' bro by pointed out Eliza in True Lies, then he got me back by pointing out "Dawn" in Inspector Gadget. I saw...mmm, can't remember his name, "Jonathan" on a couple reruns of the TV show Clueless (hey, I was sick!), and he seemed very Jonathan-y in that too. A few lines, generic background geek mostly, but kinda peripheral to the main characters.

....I'm not helping.
