anybody know where James Marsters scar came from? The one right smack in the middle of his eyebrow.

i've always wondered about it.

i've always wondered the same thing. i wanted some cool spike-lore on how he got it, but it never materialized. just like i wanted to know the origins of angel's tatoo? did he have it before he was a vamp? after he got all re-souled?

if you watch 'fool for love', during the fight scene with the chinese slayer, she cuts him, right above his eye, with her sword. the scar was just something that jame's had and thought they'd paint over, but then they decided, last-minute, to incorporate it into the vampire makeup.

Yep. The guy apparently had brass knuckles. I got to meet JM once (and had dinner with him...i was such a drooling schoolgirl) and he told the story. It involved a lot of swearing.

According to IMDB: James gained the scar on his left eyebrow when he was mugged whilst living in Queens.

When I saw him in an interview, he mentioned that brass knuckles were involved (he's lucky he didn't lose his eye). When he was cast as Spike, he recommended to the makeup person that the scar be covered over but they decided to accentuate it instead.

ok the full story...from james himself on the radio show known as loveline..
he was wlaking home in queens from a friends house. a guy turned him arund and the guy hit him with brass knuckles.he didn't say anything about money, he said all he had was a "comic book and dirty underwear" his lines exactly.if you like to hear the whole thing (or atleast read it) i will type it out. since i taped the episode.it will take awhile though.maybe.

That's a very good question. I'm beginning to question that more and more. Especially with how was Angel able to get a nice haircut without giving the obvious that he's a vamp? But the hair thing is just getting too nick picky. But I do think his "Has my hair been this poofy? Why didn't anybody tell me" explain he just hacked it off without knowing what it would look like.
