so anyway, I saw Serenity and I wanted to figure out the solo guitar at the end of the credits. If you sit through them, there's a solo guitar thing at the end, which I think Josh Whedon played. It's not too difficult, but it is beautiful.

But it's NOT on the SOUNDTRACK album!!! So I can't figure it out. I really don't feel like sneaking a hand-held analog tape recorder into the theatre because the quality would probably be so bad I wouldn't be able to hear it anyway. Even though it is a decent hand held analog tape recorder.

So . . . Does anyone have a copy of the solo guitar piece? If someone has it, and can send it to me, I will figure it out and tab it out for all you guitar players out there.

Um, you're referring to the remixed Ballad of Serenity? I'm sure the guitar chords for that (available in various places, I'm sure) are a starting off point...

yes, but to actually figure it out closely to the way the solo actually is, I need to get it in my head first . . . I have fooled with the chords before now, but the solo arrangement is just not in my head. And . . . as always, once I have figured it out, I will probably change it to suit myself. After all, that's art!

There's a group tab effort over at the serenitymovie site to get this done. This is what I managed to get by ear tonight. It's in E-flat tuning. Hope it helps. I'll post more when I get it.

I don't have a place to host a .txt file, but if you copy and paste this from here into one, it should line up. The ^^^ marks are to ensure the chord notations paste in the right spots.
