So we all know that that Buffy is usually a metaphor for life in general, which is what makes it so good.

What makes the Wish so wonderful is that it is a metaphor for all that is going on on the show at that moment. particularly the deaths. maybe you all know that already, but I just want to break it down.

Xander and Willow drain Cordy together
Xander kills Angel
Buffy kills Xander
Oz kills Willow

And then when its over we start to see a little more into Willow and where her vamp might come from.
