Aborted Story Posting - What Gives?

Just a gal out on the rim writing tales.

Last night (6-12-06) I attempted to post my latest story, "Red". For some reason, the site would only post about four pages. I finally wound up cutting it into four short chapters and those posted fine.

I know I've posted longer fics previously and wonder if other writers have encountered this problem and what might have caused it.

To any readers who were inconvenienced or puzzled by the story's off-again-on-again appearance, I'm really sorry.
