Well, fff.net has a somewhat functional chat, but I miss a proper IRC-chat. Any chance in reactivating irc.fireflyfans.net?

This is months down the road since the last post but still ... I think after CSTS this last weekend that real-IRC chat will be wanted again. (By me, at least!) Who had been running FFF.net's IRC? Are there other Firefly-related IRCs around?

You all are more than welcome to use my IRC server for a firefly chat. It's irc.ericneill.com . I will go setup a firefly channel...right this very second ;)

Hey all, I'm a Big Fat Dope, a filthy filthy ... dope, I completely neglected to come back here and close the loop.

First off, Thank You!! to Athenon for setting up an IRC on his own site. That was fully cool and a great idea. When in doubt, take care of it onesownself.

I did find, for the still-curious, that #firefly on irc.Blitzed.org is very active and likely to remain so. The usual mix, regulars, newbies, and occasionals. A welcoming group, what else wouldj'expect?

And in related concept, for any Second Lifers, do a search for Washtown and teleport in. Amazing spot. Fully explorable ship, sweet little town. Usually empty (Second Life is a big place) but there's a Shindig just about every Friday at 7pm Pacific.

Does anybody actually use my IRC lol? I've never seen anybody in it. Maybe we should run events in it or something? I dunno...but I DO know I can't stand the chatroom on fff.net XD
