"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

And then Mizz Palin, who often referred to her own child as "my little retarded baby", according to her ex-future-son-in-law, completely shit herself and demanded that ANYBODY who would use such language should be fired.

Which got unintentionally hilarious when Rushbaugh went on a rant about "calling retards retards".

So when will Ms. P demand that Rush be fired? My guess is, she has no problem with him saying it over and over, on the air, in an intentionally insulting way; she just has a problem with Rahmbo saying it, in a private meeting, with no press or cameras, in a less insulting - yet still unacceptable - fashion.

So did Rush. Again and again and again.

You went back nearly a YEAR to find that quote ? Wow. I'm impressed at your obsession over me.

Granted, I'm not in a position of public office or political power, as are Rahm or Obama, and I'm not making those comments on national t.v., but merely in context of a message board, but if you want to draw direct comparisons between two completely unrelated situations as some sort of cover for your deities, have at it.

Rush never did use that word in any context, other than to discuss the issue. Sorry, comparison fail # 2.

I'm not a " Republican ", if your intent was to compare what I posted to what Rahm or Obama SAID.

I'm an American. I hold conservative, libertarian views. I do tend to vote more Republican than Democratic, but I am registered to neither party.

Fail # 3

So, to the point, I'm guessing that you're as upset ( or indifferent ) at Rahm's remarks as you are with what Cheney said to Sen. Leahy?

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!

Now THAT is funny!

BTW, I didn't have to "go back" at all to find that quote. A simple two-word google search: "auraptor retard" brought that up as the top result. Do they not use Google in your trailer park?

So sorry, AwwCraptor, but that shipment of fail is all yours. Here's the actual quote from Rushbo, his exact words.

Quote:

“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards.”

You fail, as always. Wow, you really haven't gotten any better at this in your absence.

Why? Did he call Leahy "fucking retarded" or a "retard"? What does Cheney have to do with this? Did you have a stroke, or get hit on the head? Try to keep up!

Nice to know Google thinks I'm # 1.

I'm not registered as a Republican, and I TELL YOU I'm not one, and yet you still find that funny. Huh.

Rush wasn't using the word as an insult, Rahm and Obama were.

Cheney was the natural comparison, as the Left was unrelenting in vilifying him over his direct confrontation to that slime ball Leahy.

What did the Special Olympic kids do to Obama, or those f-ing retards ever do to Rahm, to deserve being belittled ?

Yeah, saying that calling a retard a retard couldn't POSSIBLY be seen as insulting. By the way, some broad named Palin seems to disagree with you, and with your god Rushbo. But I suppose he'll just call her a retard, and all will be well... So you ran away about a year ago, coward that you've always been. Whassamatta? You get your butt hurt because Obama won after you guaranteed a McCain/Palin victory?

Palin has really stepped in it with this one. People do use the word "retarded" and they use the word "retard". They may not be the most eloquent or high brow terms to describe someone they think is dumb or mis-guided, but they've been used by almost everyone. That includes Rush, Beck, and many others. I have said the same in conversations too. When I say it, and I would assume all the others too, I'm not specifically drawing an analogy to mentally-challenged folks. I respect them, and the plight they and their families face every day. I use it as an insult, or description of something or someone I think is just stupid. Can we still say stupid? Sure it's not really appropriate to do any of that, but it's not the worst thing in the world either. Palin is going to eventually have to answer to the hypocricy of going after Emmanuel, while giving others a pass.

But the hell of it is, it IS a word. When I'm working on cars, we often have to advance or RETARD the timing and spark to get optimal performance. And that's the word mechanics use, engineers use, the manuals use, etc.

Rahm Emanuel used it in a stupid way. Check that - he used it in a FUCKING stupid way. But he did it behind closed doors, in a private meeting. AuRaptor was never able to explain why Rush throwing it around on his broadcast, which is allegedly heard by 100 million listeners (according to Rush), is completely innocent. Neither of them are completely innocent, both are insensitive and stupid, but only one of them was truly malicious in his use of the word.

Well, I think it's a tempest in a teapot; again something small to blow up all to hell. I'm with JS, tho' as it happens I've not used the word, if I ever did, since I was a teenager. I've worked with the mentally handicapped, and we had a group of them that were regulars at our pizza parlor, and it just wouldn't occur to me--there are so many other, better words!

Well, Palin did rebuke Rush: "Sarah Palin Rebukes Rush Limbaugh For 'Retarded' Remarks; Sarah Palin versus Rush Limbaugh! Palin believes Limbaugh's repeated use of the word "retard" yesterday was "crude and demeaning," her spokesperson emails."
Quote:

Then there's Beck, who is himself the father of a special needs child. He was speaking on his radio show last month to actress (and, apparently, artist) Mary Lynn Rajskub (of 24 fame) and asked her about paintings she does.

When she says she particularly enjoys painting "retarded children and paintings of the insane," laughter can be heard on Beck's end of the line. Then Beck, trying to suppress laughs, starts to ask how much the paintings of the "retarded" children go for. When she asks if there are "people laughing in the background," he replies that, "we're not laughing, we're just imagining that those would be nice. ... Honestly, I've been looking for one of those, but I haven't seen them."

Unable to keep from laughing, Beck adds that he has "no idea if you really do this or you're just screwing with people." She's being serious, she insists. You can hear the entire audio at Media Matters.

I heard this one, and the sarcasm in his voice was something few could miss.

Also, "and the former Alaska governor also blasted a top aide to Texas Gov. Rick Perry, for whom Palin will soon be campaigning."

I'm sure there are other examples, people use the word in a derrogatory way just as JS wrote. I don't like it, but jeeez...what can I say?

By the way, just curious: Auraptor was mentioned once, I think twice, in the past few days. Suddenly he shows up all over the place. Has he just been around but quiet, is he a sockpuppet, or is it just coincidence? Just curious.

And now it seems that although a Palin SPOKESPERSON was taking Rush to task for his gloating defense of using the word "retard" to refer demean people, Sarah herself is going out of her way to NOT take on Limbaugh.

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2010/02/sarah_palins_response_to_retar.ht
ml

In fact, NOW her spokesperson says that her "rebuke" of Limbaugh was NOT a rebuke of Limbaugh.

But Sarah herself, after devoting most of a day, and over 300 words specifically to Emanuel and her insistence that he be fired, now has absolutely nothing to say regarding Limbaugh's over-the-top usage of the same word.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/32586.html

And she has yet to utter a peep about her pal and coworker Glenn Beck, and his giggling over the idea of paintings of retarded children during an interview on his program.

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200901090014

More on that moron at:

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/robert-schlesinger/2010/02/04/pali
n-denounces-limbaugh-over-retard-cracks-glenn-beck-next.html

It's starting to seem more than just a little inconvenient for the former half-term governor.

Oh, and if you hadn't heard already, Sarah's backpedaling on that whole rebuking of Rush thing. Now she's (or rather HER PEOPLE are, because she's remained silent on the subject of Limbaugh, not having the courage to utter so much as a single WORD about HIS use of the word in such a demeaning, derogatory way) backtracking the whole thing, issuing statements that she ISN'T taking on Rush, and her earlier statements about the remarks WERE NOT aimed at Rush.

So she's a fighter, and she's tough as nails when defending her special needs child - unless of course Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck are involved. Then she's meek as a lamb, and will gladly lay down for them.

And that's been bugging me, too - why isn't Sarah defending Rahm's freedom of speech? I thought she was the Tea-Bagging Poster Bimbo; shouldn't she be all about free speech and AGAINST the PC BS, just like Rushbaugh says he is?

You could tell us your were a poodkle4, and we'd still know it was bullshit. Your actions and words make it clear that you are a good, lock-steppin little GOPer.

You forgot goose-steppin', boot-lickin', ass-kissin'... :)

I left out "goose-stepping" so as to avoid Godwin's law.

The others are self-evident.

Hmmmm... More on that moron Palin...

Seems she's NOT into the whole politically correct thing, at least according to her own words.

Quote:

From Politico's Ben Smith, June 05, 2009

I didn't get to this in my story on Palin's lower-48 in Seneca Falls, but she hasn't lost her ability to deliver a raw, base-riling stemwinder, and her introduction of Michael Reagan in Anchorage the other night is worth a listen and is currently making the rounds on the right.

She opens the introduction praising Reagan's son, a talk radio guy, for his willingness "to screw the political correctness that some would expect him to try to adhere to."

(Emphasis added by me)
