America loves a winner!
Quote: Pay to play is the Chicago way - there's no question about that. But a report that surfaced yesterday from the Weekly Standard reveals a more than obvious quid pro quo involving Congressman Jim Matheson (D - UT), who originally voted no on the health care bill. Matheson was one of 10 members of Congress that visited the White House last night to meet with the undocumented president, but before the meeting began, Matheson's brother, Scott M. Matheson, Jr., was nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit by Obama. Taking a step back, let's look at the facts. The members of Congress that visited the White House last night had all originally voted against Obamacare in the House. President Obama was obviously trying to persuade them to change their vote and support his radical agenda. Scott M. Matheson, Jr. had reportedly been in the running for the Appeals Court for some time and also has an impressive record - nobody is denying this. What's so troubling is the timing of this situation. Why on earth would Obama nominate and then announce in a press release, something that everybody in the media will read, what so obviously seems like a quid pro quo? Congressman Matheson, who originally voted against Obamacare, now claims to be undecided, which only makes this situation worse. The timing of this, if it turns out to be a coincidence, is pure stupidity, but then again, nobody ever accused this administration of having any sort of common sense. Something doesn't smell right here. Coincidence? Well, yes, if you believe White House chief propagandist Robert "Goebbels" Gibbs. But no if you have a functioning brain. We'll see how this plays out, but let's not forget that Obama surrounds himself with some of the dirtiest scum on this planet that are known for using their thug tactics to get their way. Everything from the wars in the middle east to transparency in government. Well, to be fair he did campaign on "Change"....I just had no idea it would be his views and promises that would change. As for buying votes.....he was molded in the school of Chicago politics. Say what you want about Obama, but one thing is indisputable...the people who voted for this guy have not gotten what they were promised.....and I am grateful for that..........
