The govt is about money, a means for corporations to multiply their wealth to trillions from billions, and a way for eugenicists to kill people. Funny, and awful white game for a black guy, he learns quick I guess. Corporate cash and death. I don't know about his golf game, I assume it's better than his bowling.
Quote: Obama swings it to play even more golf than Bush (and all in less than a year in office) By PAUL THOMPSON Last updated at 1:31 AM on 27th October 2009 While his predecessor in the White House had a reputation as a golfing playboy, Barack Obama has cultivated a somewhat more serious, down-to-business image. So it may be a surprise to learn that in his ten months as U.S. President, Mr Obama has already played as much golf as George W Bush did in his entire eight years in power. A U.S. TV journalist who keeps a log of the President’s recreational travel reported that Mr Obama’s game at the weekend was his 24th since taking office in January. It took President Bush two years and nine months to notch up that number of games. In 2002 Mr Bush was ridiculed for trivialising terrorism, after issuing a statement condemning a suicide bomb attack in Israel to reporters gathered on the golf course before turning around and, with barely a pause, saying: ‘Thank you. Now watch this drive.’ He packed away his clubs after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, saying playing golf during a war ‘just sends the wrong signal’. Mr Obama plays on Sunday afternoons on the 18-hole course at the U.S. army base of Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He usually tees off shortly after noon, but aides said he never drops by the ‘19th hole’ for refreshment. Instead he returns to the White House by early evening to have dinner-with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia. Mr Obama plays off a 16 handicap, one worse than Mr Bush, and is rated among the top 200 government players in Washington, DC, by Golf Digest magazine. Recently he has come under criticism for playing with only male colleagues, leading to accusations of sexism. But he corrected that last weekend when his chief domestic policy adviser, Melody Barnes, joined him for a round. Quote:President Bush said with a straight face this week that he gave up golf in honor of the fallen soldiers in Iraq, claiming that he quit after the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad in August 2003. Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization's high commissioner for human rights. "I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life," he said. "I was playing golf -- I think I was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, 'It's just not worth it anymore to do.'" In fact, Bush went golfing two months after the bombing the UN headquarters
Quote:"Linked by secure video (from his vacation at his ranch in Texas), Bush expressed a confidence on Aug. 28 that starkly contrasted with the dire warnings his disaster chief and numerous federal, state and local officials provided during the four days before the storm." "In dramatic and agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief that Hurricane Katrina could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans' Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to video footage," AP reported. "Bush didn't ask any questions during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: 'We are fully prepared'. Inexplicable is the fact that President Bush incorrectly told reporters in his September 2, 2005, press conference in Biloxi, Mississippi, that the "levees broke on Tuesday in New Orleans." It broke the levees on Monday. "George Bush stayed on vacation. He didn't get back to work. When the worst natural disaster in our nation's history attacked us, George Bush STAYED ON VACATION. George Bush stayed on vacation in Crawford, Texas. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, vice president Dick Cheney STAYED ON VACATION in Jackson, Wyoming. On Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, Sec. of State Condi Rice WENT ON VACATION in New York City and went to a splashy Broadway musical and bought obscenely expensive shoes. She went shopping," Michael Giltz of AMERICAblog wrote September 5, 2005. "No need to explain why the President was golfing on Tuesday, playing guitar with country singers on a Tuesday while New Orleans died. Which would be fine if not for the inconvenient fact that the levees were breached on Monday, discovered on Monday, and confirmed on Monday. Monday was the day the levees broke," Izzy wrote September 3, 2005, in the blog Unbossed. When Cheney was asked by reporter Roger Simon "why he did not return from his vacation earlier than [Thursday, September 1, 2005,] three days after the hurricane hit, the vice president replied: 'I came back four days early.'

Quote:Originally posted by AURaptor: The hypocrisy of some little minds here never ceases to amaze. I didn't "LIE". There's been story after story posted on: - Bush being ridiculed about his playing Golf during the time of war - Bush stating why he felt it was important to give up the game, out of a show of respect. ( and even the boy who cried "wolf" was right, at least once. The Left has so over played and under delivered the claims that Bush "lied", I can't be blamed for not listening to Olbermann - who does, really ? - and missing the time or two Bush has found his way back to the golf course. I think I've played golf twice in the last 10 years. Don't know how Presidents find the time.... but that's just me ) That he later went back and played golf ( and lied , if you will ) doesn't change a god damn thing. He's right about one thing. Playing golf, with great frequency and at inappropriate moments shows a vast disconnect to the matters at hand when the nation is in a crisis. Shame on Bush for not keeping his word on this matter, and shame on Obama for being such an elitist piece of crap to not even comprehend the significance in the first place. Obama's played far more golf than Bush did, and yet, you clowns only seem to want to vilify Bush. I guess my earlier comments about some who just want to pleasure Mr Hussein Obama hold true after all.

You're making the mistake you always make: You're listening to what Bush SAYS instead of looking at what he DOES. He SAID he gave up golf, but there's video evidence proving otherwise. You DO take video as evidence, don't you? As always, you are 180º removed from the facts. There was no bit "fuss" made over Bush playing golf, UNTIL HE SAID THAT HE HAD GIVEN UP GOLF AND WAS PROVEN TO BE LYING. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/16/bush-lied-about-giving-up_n_102138.html "I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal." Quote:Nikki, Rappy's problem is that he wants his cake and he wants to eat it too. He wants his (oil) stocks to go up. So he wants the kind of cost-cutting that led to this disaster. But he doesn't want the disaster. So he wants the government to step in. But he doesn't want government because he doesn't want regulations and taxes. So, what DOES he want? Mostly, he doesn't want to have to face that question! So he winds up throwing tantrums about Obama's anti-South bias (HA!) and the hero-worship that he presumes has "us" all cheering the disaster on and golf and other shit that is about as relevant as a screen door on a submarine. And because he's not willing to do what is necessary to ensure that this doesn't happen again... including facing that question about what he REALLY wants and what he is willing to GIVE UP in order to get it... He must be pretty happy with the way things are. Otherwise, he's insane, because the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.
