Poor baby, having to play golf in that heat. I wonder what temp is in the Gulf? Having to clean up that oil in those HAZ-MAT suits in that heat must suck.

I'm sure with 10% unempolment, 2 wars and the worst oil spill in U.S. history, he'll finally leap into action....and make the greatest speech EVER!

A fuss was made over Bush playing golf when our troops were fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So, what'd Bush do ? He stopped playing golf for the remainder of his 2 terms in office.

Our troops are still in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama plays golf

There's a colossal environmental disaster happening , right now, and Obama hasn't even given any thought of cutting back his golf game.

He gives an address to the nation, from the Oval Office, on the matter of the gulf oil spill. He attempts to talk in historic manner, tossing around images of FDR and our effort to put a man on the moon. We've all got to come together and face this challenge as one country......

Then he goes and plays more golf.

And the oil is still gushing.

No he didn't. You're lying, and you damn well KNOW you're lying, because this has been proven time and time again.

You're making the mistake you always make: You're listening to what Bush SAYS instead of looking at what he DOES. He SAID he gave up golf, but there's video evidence proving otherwise. You DO take video as evidence, don't you?

As always, you are 180º removed from the facts. There was no bit "fuss" made over Bush playing golf, UNTIL HE SAID THAT HE HAD GIVEN UP GOLF AND WAS PROVEN TO BE LYING.

The back room deals are made on the golf course, and that's what this govt has been about for a while. The govt is about money, a means for corporations to multiply their wealth to trillions from billions, and a way for eugenicists to kill people.

Funny, and awful white game for a black guy, he learns quick I guess. Corporate cash and death. I don't know about his golf game, I assume it's better than his bowling.

Obama's just trying to be a " typical white person" .

So much for hope and change, huh?

Obama swings it to play even more golf than Bush (and all in less than a year in office)

By PAUL THOMPSON
Last updated at 1:31 AM on 27th October 2009

While his predecessor in the White House had a reputation as a golfing playboy, Barack Obama has cultivated a somewhat more serious, down-to-business image.
So it may be a surprise to learn that in his ten months as U.S. President, Mr Obama has already played as much golf as George W Bush did in his entire eight years in power.

A U.S. TV journalist who keeps a log of the President’s recreational travel reported that Mr Obama’s game at the weekend was his 24th since taking office in January.

It took President Bush two years and nine months to notch up that number of games.
In 2002 Mr Bush was ridiculed for trivialising terrorism, after issuing a statement condemning a suicide bomb attack in Israel to reporters gathered on the golf course before turning around and, with barely a pause, saying: ‘Thank you. Now watch this drive.’
He packed away his clubs after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, saying playing golf during a war ‘just sends the wrong signal’.
Mr Obama plays on Sunday afternoons on the 18-hole course at the U.S. army base of Fort Belvoir in Virginia.

He usually tees off shortly after noon, but aides said he never drops by the ‘19th hole’ for refreshment. Instead he returns to the White House by early evening to have dinner-with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia.
Mr Obama plays off a 16 handicap, one worse than Mr Bush, and is rated among the top 200 government players in Washington, DC, by Golf Digest magazine.
Recently he has come under criticism for playing with only male colleagues, leading to accusations of sexism.
But he corrected that last weekend when his chief domestic policy adviser, Melody Barnes, joined him for a round.

I trust those who are upset that Bush may have gotten in a game or two over the next 5 years of office are all the more outraged at Obama for never giving any thought of backing off HIS golf game.

Rap, can you show me the quote where Obama said he gave up golf for the duration of... well, ANYTHING?

And when you say the only reason Obama plays golf is to look like a "typical white person", are you implying that blacks shouldn't be allowed to play golf?

Personally, I think golf is a stupid game. As George Carlin said, you hit a ball with a stick, and then you go look for it. If you find it, PICK IT UP! YOU WON!

So did Bush stop all parties, dinners, fundraisers, public outings of all kinds, and vacations while the wars raged? Nope. Of course he didn't. Not that you ever uttered a word of dissent about any of those things. Well, not until Obama did them, of course. ;)

But thanks for acknowledging that I caught you lying. Naturally, now that you've been caught out and shown up for the liar we already know you to be, you try to make light of it. "Oh, I won't begrudge him getting in a game or two..." But you'll begrudge Obama golfing, won't you? Curious...

I personally don't give two shits if a President goes golfing or not. I find it offensive when a President claims to have NOT gone golfing, when he quite clearly DID, and then to say that the reason he didn't go golfing was to honor the troops, which is quite clearly a lie. If Obama had said that he wasn't golfing because of the wars, I'd be pissed if he then went golfing.

So I ask again, because I'm sure you'll dodge this one:

Can you show me where and when Obama said he was giving up golf for the duration of the wars?

Nice inclusion of the Thompson article, but you missed the part where he fell for the same lie you did. That alone shoots to hell any credibility he has, doesn't it? I mean, you wouldn't listen to Dan Rather as a source of information on anything, would you?

** Factually inaccurate. As noted above, Mr. Bush DID NOT pack away his club. He DID say that playing golf sends the wrong signal, but then he went on to send that signal anyway, proving his utter lack of caring and compassion for the people he sent to their deaths in his dirty little illegal war.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Mike's right, and that one's made the rounds many time...either you're deliberately mischaracterizing it or you've been deaf to the stories. It was proven over and over again--there's even videos--that Dumbya didn't give up playing golf after he said he had.
Quote:

President Bush said with a straight face this week that he gave up golf in honor of the fallen soldiers in Iraq, claiming that he quit after the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad in August 2003.

Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization's high commissioner for human rights.

"I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life," he said. "I was playing golf -- I think I was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, 'It's just not worth it anymore to do.'"

In fact, Bush went golfing two months after the bombing the UN headquarters

Every little thing, anything you can grab onto, eh? It's a losing game, since we can up the ante every time you try it by showing how Bush did the same things Obama's doing, and more in some cases. The birthday cake during Katrina, remember? There's so much...it's not worth it.

Presidents are Presidents. Better he should take a couple of hours off for golf than take a vacation, which Dumbya cut short after a few days INTO Katrina, Condie went shopping...I could go on.

It's nitpicking to compare them on this front, find something better to bitch about.

Obama plays golf to look like a white guy, eh? Tiger Woods, anyone?

"The Bush's Katrina Vacation"
Quote:

"Linked by secure video (from his vacation at his ranch in Texas), Bush expressed a confidence on Aug. 28 that starkly contrasted with the dire warnings his disaster chief and numerous federal, state and local officials provided during the four days before the storm."

"In dramatic and agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief that Hurricane Katrina could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans' Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to video footage," AP reported. "Bush didn't ask any questions during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: 'We are fully prepared'.

Inexplicable is the fact that President Bush incorrectly told reporters in his September 2, 2005, press conference in Biloxi, Mississippi, that the "levees broke on Tuesday in New Orleans." It broke the levees on Monday.

"George Bush stayed on vacation. He didn't get back to work. When the worst natural disaster in our nation's history attacked us, George Bush STAYED ON VACATION.

George Bush stayed on vacation in Crawford, Texas. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, vice president Dick Cheney STAYED ON VACATION in Jackson, Wyoming. On Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, Sec. of State Condi Rice WENT ON VACATION in New York City and went to a splashy Broadway musical and bought obscenely expensive shoes. She went shopping," Michael Giltz of AMERICAblog wrote September 5, 2005.

"No need to explain why the President was golfing on Tuesday, playing guitar with country singers on a Tuesday while New Orleans died. Which would be fine if not for the inconvenient fact that the levees were breached on Monday, discovered on Monday, and confirmed on Monday. Monday was the day the levees broke," Izzy wrote September 3, 2005, in the blog Unbossed.

When Cheney was asked by reporter Roger Simon "why he did not return from his vacation earlier than [Thursday, September 1, 2005,] three days after the hurricane hit, the vice president replied: 'I came back four days early.'

The hypocrisy of some little minds here never ceases to amaze.

I didn't "LIE". There's been story after story posted on:

- Bush being ridiculed about his playing Golf during the time of war

- Bush stating why he felt it was important to give up the game, out of a show of respect.

( and even the boy who cried "wolf" was right, at least once. The Left has so over played and under delivered the claims that Bush "lied", I can't be blamed for not listening to Olbermann - who does, really ? - and missing the time or two Bush has found his way back to the golf course. I think I've played golf twice in the last 10 years. Don't know how Presidents find the time.... but that's just me )

That he later went back and played golf ( and lied , if you will ) doesn't change a god damn thing. He's right about one thing. Playing golf, with great frequency and at inappropriate moments shows a vast disconnect to the matters at hand when the nation is in a crisis.

Shame on Bush for not keeping his word on this matter, and shame on Obama for being such an elitist piece of crap to not even comprehend the significance in the first place.

Obama's played far more golf than Bush did, and yet, you clowns only seem to want to vilify Bush.

I guess my earlier comments about some who just want to pleasure Mr Hussein Obama hold true after all.

Bush was a clown, that is fact. However Obama is worse in my eyes and he's not even through term one. He is the disaster voted in by people who didn't know better. I mean really, this guy had ZERO experience. People were swept up by the meaningless slogans, being fools they have to stand by this guy because of the embarrassment having voted for him. They have to know deep inside this is a train wreck...Or they are fucking stupid and gay. No one ever defends his ACTIONS they just deflect and say your guy was a moron. Rappy, the reason I brought it up again, and told you YOU were lying, is because this is far from the first time you've been informed that this bullshit you're spewing is a complete and utter fabrication. You've been corrected on it before, it's been pointed out to you before, and you still keep trying to sell the same lies.

You can claim that YOU didn't know, but you're lying. You knew, because I've told you. And so have others. And we've provided links (it wasn't just Olbermann - it was widely reported, seemingly everywhere except on FauxNews and Rushbo's show).

You seem to have a vested interest in repeating these lies, and hoping that someday it just becomes accepted as fact. It isn't fact, it isn't correct, and it won't ever be, no matter how many times you claim that it is.

See, y'all don't understand how broken Rappys mind is - one of the reasons I take pity on him, a lil bit.

He is genuinely concerned and pissed about the gulf situation, but his conditioning and foolish partisan loyalty is so strong it absolutely and utterly prevents him from layin blame equally, thus when he lashes out in frustration there's only one direction it can go - and in light of the realities of the situation it makes him look utterly ridiculous, that is true...

But you should ponder for a minute that also in respect to that conditioning he oughta not give a fuck unless it personally does him harm, and yet somehow he does, despite that complex being so powerful it bends his very perception of reality itself.

Not that is doesn't make him and all the rest of the jackboot snugglers any less dangerous to those who aren't, nor does it excuse his voluntary acceptance of and agreement with that conditioning in the first place, but it does highlight how utterly broken as a person those who have accepted it become.

And a warning there, it's a circle, not a line - the harder you shove against it on one end, the more you risk falling backwards off an unseen cliff right into it's grasp, unawares.

That, specifically for you, Mikey.

So a bit of thought here, perception, cause you're trying to shove someone to do something they fundamentally CAN NOT do, and it is a bit sadistic, when you SHOULD be pondering the flaws that allowed any outrage to occur in the first place.

Just sayin,

People are frustrated. The enormity of this catastrophe is simply overwhelming. I get it. But, fer chrissake, Bush and Obama ARE alike in that they are MERE HUMAN BEINGS who actually cannot work personally on the multiplying crises in the world 24/7. And I wouldn't want them to. It's so childish, y'all wanna ground the President? Take away his tv privileges until he cleans up BP's de facto terrorist attack?

Get pissed at something that's actually relevant to our situation, would ya? What either man does on his weekend IS NONE OF ANYONE'S GORRAM BUSINESS. It's tabloid level pabulum. Next we'll be debating whether Brad should go back to Jen or not.

Actually ?

Yes.

He wanted to be the leader of the country, he wanted to sit in the big chair, that's the goddamn price - you do the job, especially in moments of national crisis, you do nothing BUT the job - if Site Three was flooding and we were out there stacking sandbags, do you think for one goddamn minute I would be takin a break to go hit up the arcade for a couple hours ?

This halfass response, from Bush, from Obama, *AND* all the other little petty politicos under em, has ground my gears one too many times already, if they can't be sussed to DO anything, if we hold them to a standard so bloody low we expect nothing OF them, then why do we have em at all, is this just some pathetic little game we play where we install and ignore em - if so then why do we pay them so goddamn much, huh ?

They need to get with the program, they wanted the authority, with it comes the responsibility, and we have a certain responsibility of our own to hold them to that, with any tool we can bend to the purpose.

This particular "moment of crisis" is close to two months long now--with no end in sight. You want a human being to work full days, say 12 hours, every day, for 50 some-odd days? That kind of thinking CREATES these crises. That's when MERE HUMAN BEINGS make mistakes, Frem! Human fallibility, human vulnerability, the human need to set aside a little time for ourselves, MUST be taken into account if anything resembling sanity is to ensue.

I like it when the boss takes his jacket off and does the dishes when the dishwasher calls in sick during the dinner rush as much as anyone, but Obama has been dealing with one outrageous national or world crisis after another since he got into office. He's not doing well. That speech the other night? The guy needed to get some sleep!

This is definitely one of the worst times to be president I've seen in my lifetime. Thank God Palin didn't get elected, she'd have full-on quit by now.

Y'know, Bush reportedly spent over a year of his first term in office at his home in Texas. Not just taking a day off, but thousands of miles away from D.C. That's a problem, for sure. But golfing on a weekend? Really? That's what chaps your hide?

I think we've built the Presidency into this colossal impossible dream of power and authority. We've made him some kinda god, and, sure, the folks that sign up for that job, no doubt, buy into that fiction to some degree. And when things go wrong in life, we tend to blame the gods. They become our whipping boys and girls, particularly the celebrities and politicians we put up on that pedestal out of pure recalcitrant childishness.

But that doesn't make it right, or real. How does blaming the President solve our problem, Frem? Isn't this a little bigger than that? There is NOTHING the President coulda done short of shutting BP down last year when they made those 100 or so egregious safety violations. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. And yeah, that woulda been nice, shutting down offshore oil drilling for safety reasons (o' course, without this crisis, the congress would never have supported such a policy--he's getting flack for it even NOW). But that's not the man we elected. We did not elect a man to kick ass and take names--the guy didn't run on a kickin' ass and takin' names platform, at any rate.

Anyway.

That means you don't get leave unless your CO said you get leave. Well, in this case, we are his CO. Right now, he does not get leave. He gets leave on some slow time when there is no crisis, which actually is most of the time. But you don't get leave in the middle of the battle, and America is under attack by toxic goo.

Celebrate when the mission is accomplished. Hell, if the mission ia to plug the leak, do that, then when it comes down to routine cleanup he can take a break, provided he's put people on the cleanup crew first. But not while unprecedented gunk is spilling into not just our sea, but mexicos and everyone else on the gulf. I wouldn't be too surprised if they weren't getting just a little bit ticked at us.

Thirded. What Frem and DT said, all of it.

Y'all up in DC wanted to put on your big boy pants and sit in the big boy chair. You WANTED the authority. With that authority comes the responsibility to GET SHIT DONE. So, no breaks, no vacations, no movie night, no date night, no under-the-desk blowjobs, no fund-raisers, no dicking around. GET THIS SHIT DONE. And stay on it until it IS done.

I know Obama can't himself swim to the bottom of the ocean and cap the well with a wave of his magic hands. But he can stay on top of this shit, and be there, organizing, mandating, delegating, overseeing, wrangling support, logistics, personnel and materiel, until this goddamned thing is capped.

He owes us that. That's the job we hired him for. And every single member of Congress as well. And if they aren't up to the job, all they have to do is let us know, and we'll be glad to replace them.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

With a theater, a bowling alley, a gymnasium, and the best data communications gear at his disposal, the President has a vast amount of leisure at his command.

All of it can be enjoyed without playing nine holes on a golf green. Part of the service you provide to the nation is giving everyone the impression that you care and that you are working hard. So choosing leisure that doesn't shove your relaxation in the face of the American people is important.

Obama and Bush both fail here.

I love it when other folks tell YOU what YOU know, whether you yourself know them or not. Funny how that works.

Bush said the right things, gave the proper response in light of criticism, and then lied about not playing golf. And that's wrong.

But the underlying issue of WHY one would forgo playing golf, or go to a yacht race, or carry on with parties and concerts, it's the image of not caring about what others are going through while live it up, which rubs people the wrong way.

Those in public positions and leaders are viewed differently than private individuals. Their actions get amplified and over analyzed, rightly or wrongly.

Some just "get" it, others don't. Some SAY they get it, probably because they were told to say they do, while others.... the basic concept just completely escapes them.

No, YOU want the oil to keep gushing, because it allows your dear leader use " a serious crisis" to advance his political agenda. Never let those go to waste, right ?

Mike,

That's pretty spot on, this is not a normal job, it's a job where we give you god like power. I've had it jobs that work me round the clock, doctors work around thte clock, a president should work around the clock, not just eight hours. A decent percent of the population can handle doing that. One thing you get to when you work all the time is to having Some work that basically is the down time, like diplomatic meetings with people who are not about to blow you up.

In one of my IT jobs, pretty early I noticed there were no hours off, seven days a week up to 16 hours a day, I asked my fellow employees if it was always like this. One said "oh no, it's only like this when were under deadline." and the other one added "and were always under deadline.

The president isn't always under deadline, but right now he's under deadline.

Quote:

Obama doesn't care about Southern folk

Kanye, I have to admit you have a point. The Gulf spill doesn't make this point directly, but unfortunately Obama has made a number of statements over the time he's been in office to the effect of "fuckem." there was a definite "damn straight were going to run a Yankee agenda right over your asses, and he basically said as much, I don't remember the exact words. But as someone who used to live in kentucky, it's hard to hear someone attack southerners without taking it personally, so I definitely notice when it's being done. He'll be very careful not to do it now, but he has done it.

Just as long as when Sarah Palin gets the nomination you don't go running on stage to rant about how Angle had so much better a campaign ad...

Yep, ya got me. Nothing is better for the environment than a long-playing, tar-studded, ocean-themed disaster!

Rappy, I love ya like a brother, and that's why I'm telling you that your head is stuck so far up your ass that you need to come up for air. Seriously.

I've been doing environmental work, helping to set up one of the first recycling centers ... oh, before you were born... and I'm STILL doing environmental work today. (BTW- All of the pushback is from industry. I KNOW which side they're on! Do you?) If you think that I or Nikki or anyone else who's done a SHITLOAD more for the environment than you EVER have ... would trade on this disaster for Obama's milquestoast policies, you are one seriously screwed-up dude. That assumption tells us more about you and YOUR kind than it says about us.

So since you're working the fundamentally flawed assumption that were' just like you, let me clue you in:

Do you really... REALLY... think the peeps on this board worship Obama like you worship Rush? When you accuse us of that kind of followership, we shake our heads, throw up our hands, or do whatever it is we do when we're exasperated and we STOP LISTENING. WE know that WE'VE criticized Obama far more angrily and more sincerely than your EVER have. So if you want make a dent in our thinking, stop wasting your typing fingers and our time by assuming that all we want is to support Obama no matter what he does. We're not your kind of people; we're not into personality-worship and we're capable of independent thought - deal with it. M'kay?

Oh, and BTW? You REALLY don't want hope and change. We know that! We ALL know that. You want everything to go back to the point where you were comfortably making money and didn't have to think that maybe... maybe... there was a cost to your profit-obsessed paradigm. Because by god, our economic meltdown, our Deepwater blowout, our permanent wartime footing... has nothing to do with unmitigated greed! Nothing!

Quote:

Obama doesn't care about Southern folk, has bigger things to worry about. He's got his legacy to build , so don't bother him. Just let him eat his waffle, how 'bout!
Let me clue you in: CORPORATIONS don't care about "Southern folk". They don't care about "Northern folk". They don't care about Chinese, or Vietnamese, or Hispanics, or Africans.

The Gulf? the North Sea? The Indian Ocean? All a source of oil them!

The temperate rainforests of the northwest? The Siberian boreal? The Amazonian jungle? The Congo? Just another place to strip bare!

THAT is the source of the problem, not Obama.

Grow up, Rappy. Stop blaming daddy, looking for a daddy, obsessing about a daddy. Confront the world as it is.

Generalizations mean nothing, Kane. There are far more of us who have long been disillusioned about Obama’s abilities on the Left and are quite willing to vocalize them than you think. But given we’re on the left and are sick to death of Dumbya being held up as the paragon, when what happened under him was some of the most dangerous threats to our democracy that it instigates us to ask “Why? Can’t you use your brains? Where were you those eight years, and why didn’t you scream and holler about HIM like you do about Obama??” it’s a pretty natural reaction when something minor Obama does was done so MUCH more by Dumbya...

As to the comparison where golfing is concerned, Dumbya SAYING he was giving it up shows pure hypocrisy; Obama never said he was giving up golf out of respect or anything, so there is no comparison. The need to minimize, rationalize or defend whatever Dumby did wrong is so sad, given how little you have to work with... that you are unwilling/unable to see it as partisan jihad is even sadder...

So a bit of thought here, perception, cause you're trying to shove someone to do something they fundamentally CAN NOT do

Bang on, Frem. I’ve learned it, but I don’t think Mike WANTS to, so it’s a mindset as concrete as Crappy’s. Maybe you are condemning them both for the same reason...?

Bang on, Cavalier, too.

I agree to a degree Frem, about focus. But bear in mind the enormous pressure of being Prez...if they didn’t take SOME time off to get away from it, we’d have an even worse situation, in my opinion. Which is not to say that I don’t find egregious and unacceptable flaws in Obama’s reaction to the Gulf, just to the concept of “all work and no play”. I try to be realistic about THAT, too. Oops, I see Cavalier, as usual, has seen what I did and made my point for me. Pardon the redundancy. And yes, the numbers on Dumbya’s “vacation time” is pretty astounding.

I grok the bit about blaming him for everything not taking everything into account, as well. Given all Obama has done or instructed be done to undo many of the things Dumbya messed up (not just the financial crisis, or the effort on healthcare, or trying to repair our standing in the world...there are tons of things Obama has done to bring us back to where we were before Dumbya that nobody hears about). He’s been a busy beaver on many fronts, and I’m glad you recognized the others to blame, Frem, in many places in government. The Prez doesn’t do anything alone, and even delegating, when you look at all the things he has to delegate, is a job unto itself.

You really think our President only works 8 hours a day? Come on, get real!

I will, however, freely grant you the point that

Anthony. It’s a very valid point, every bit as valid as Tony Hayward taking time to watch his yacht do its thing. Perception is a large part of approval, whether it should be or not.
Quote:

Sig, that’s as unfair, untrue and partisan (in your own kind of partisanship)as anything else. I don’t believe anyone except those benefiting from those policies actually wanted them. It’s insane to think anyone wants this to keep on gushing. Along those lines I have to agree with Crappy’s post about perception, too. On the other hand, a reminder Crappy that it was Dumbya who was obsessed about how history defined him...no such thing has been said about Obama, to my knowledge. To say so is transference, nothing more, unless we know otherwise. It’s been a long-standing joke, Dumbya’s obsession with how he’s remembered; not so with Obama, except if you choose to surmise it.

Sig, your last post was absolutely right on. But again, I don’t think anyone wanted this; if anything, I think they wanted status quo, without wanting to look at how it was achieved, but it’s the lack of looking at how it’s achieved that has resulted exactly the same as if they wanted it to keep on gushing. We change slowly, us humans, and RWAs even more slowly, so clinging to “let ‘em drill, I’m sure it will be okay” is understandable from their mindset, as well as is “the President better DO something” when all along they bitch about government.

There's a very real reason I point it out to Rappy and to others, and why I push back on it the way I do: A lie allowed to go unchallenged becomes accepted as fact.

The way you two talk, you sound like you'd stand there in the Oval Office and KNOW that there were no WMD in Iraq, but wouldn't bother to tell Dubya, because he probably wouldn't admit it anyway. Maybe you can't change things; doesn't mean you don't try. I can't house all the homeless; should I just stop trying to help any of them?

And for the record, Rappy DID more or less admit that he was lying and knew better, and that I was right.

Not that he won't try selling the same bullshit in another thread three weeks from now, but at least TODAY, in THIS thread, he's been shut down with his bullshit. I'll take that victory.

Where did I " lie " ?

Are you such an imbecile that you can't read a posted news article for yourself ?

You morons really have no concept of what the word " lie " means, do you ?

If it was reported that Bush didn't play golf after a point, and I posted an article stating exactly that, then how am I a 'liar' ??

The article is inaccurate. There was no intent to deceive or distort the facts.

How did you lie?

Where did I " lie " ?

Are you such an imbecile that you can't read a posted news article for yourself ?

You morons really have no concept of what the word " lie " means, do you ?

If it was reported that Bush didn't play golf after a point, and I posted an article stating exactly that, then how am I a 'liar' ??

The article is inaccurate. There was no intent to deceive or distort the facts.

You simpletons are truly incapable of rational thought or even basic comprehension of the issues.

Thanks for playing.

As has been pointed out repeatedly, you lied because this isn't even close to the first time this has come up and been discussed. You pretend it ONLY got coverage on Olbermann, but that's a lie as well - it was widely reported; apparently everywhere but FauxNews and Rush Limpdick's show had it.

But again, I've pointed all this out before. Only a true imbecile would pretend that he didn't already know this.

And there you are...

Nikki, Rappy's problem is that he wants his cake and he wants to eat it too. He wants his (oil) stocks to go up. So he wants the kind of cost-cutting that led to this disaster. But he doesn't want the disaster. So he wants the government to step in. But he doesn't want government because he doesn't want regulations and taxes. So, what DOES he want?

Mostly, he doesn't want to have to face that question! So he winds up throwing tantrums about Obama's anti-South bias (HA!) and the hero-worship that he presumes has "us" all cheering the disaster on and golf and other shit that is about as relevant as a screen door on a submarine.

And because he's not willing to do what is necessary to ensure that this doesn't happen again... including facing that question about what he REALLY wants and what he is willing to GIVE UP in order to get it... He must be pretty happy with the way things are. Otherwise, he's insane, because the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

So Rappy... all diversion about golf aside... what DO you want?

I think what he really wants is not to have to answer that question! He's been ducking it for quite a while now.

Sorry, but your claim that it's not the first time it's been brought up, and therefor I " knew " , is simply specious at best.

Most of what you folks on the Left say is factually false, so when I see something and dismiss it, out of hand, it shouldn't be any surprise.

Merely having said that you have " brought something up " only assumes that I've seen it, believed it , none of which fits the case for this specific issue.

You WISHING it to be so doesn't actually make is so.

One month ago today. It was posted in direct response to your same lame claim. Again, THAT wasn't the first time, either.

So you're claiming that you aren't REALLY lying, because you bury your head up your ass and remain aggressively stupid every single time someone points out pesky FACTS to you, eh? Is that your position?

Better go put your head back up your ass, then. That seems to be where you're happiest.

You're delusional. I made 1 reply to something Whozit posted, on Obama.

There's nothing even in that entire thread which comes close to what you're saying.
