Quote: White House defends Obama's fun time during crisis (AP) – 2 hours ago WASHINGTON — A White House spokesman says the whole country benefits when President Barack Obama takes time to go golfing and "clear his mind." Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Monday defended Obama's leisure activities amid some Republican criticism that Obama should not be scheduling fun time during the Gulf oil spill crisis. The president went golfing on Saturday afternoon after attending a baseball game Friday night. Burton said the people of the country stand by the notion that "their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind." He said Obama relaxed after a week in which he got help for victims of the oil spill and traveled to Ohio to speak on the economy, among other work. Burton said that having time to himself "probably does us all good." Copyright © 2010 The Associated Press. Yep. The more Obama relaxes, the better it is for everyone, huh? Hell, we should be in the midst of the biggest boom economy since the roaring 20's, at the rate this ass clown is getting his leisure on. So you're saying the REAL reason for that "on fire" economy of the Bush years (you know the one, where the rich kept getting richer, and the middle class got left behind!) was the fact that he spent a good quarter of his time in office on vacation? Shit, if we'd have just shit-canned him, we'd be in GREAT shape now! I agree with you - if we'd sent Bush on a permanent vacation, the country would be much better off for it. And what have you provided, other than a single photo? Oh, wait - a photoshopped photo at that! Not even a REAL photo! Do you really want me to put up more images of Dubya golfing, dancing, and generally acting like a complete fucking asshole? There are so, SO many of them it might break Haken's server! "I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal." On this matter, make no mistake. I want you to go fuck yourself long and hard, as well as anyone who agrees with you. It cuts into his "ME" time. So, when the White House has the audacity to claim that we should be THANKFUL that O's taking so much time off , what do his lent lickers offer up as a defense ?

A lot of people are saying while he's below the border, what a great time to build that wall." --Bill Maher "To give you an idea of how popular he is not ... in South America, he's going to visit on Monday the sacred Mayan ruins, and after he leaves the Mayan priests are going to perform a purification ceremony to get rid of the bad spirits. Quote: After over 18 months in office, the name George Bush should never, or only rarely, enter into a serious political discussion concerning Obama's presidency. He must stand on his own, his actions, his goals, and results. I'm not, or was I ever ready to just blame Bush for everything wrong in America, and I certainly had no naive expectations that Obama would be the "savior" that most thought he'd be. To keep bringing up Bush at this point is only self-destructive to Obama and his Administration.

Counting on public opinion to tell you what to do next is... in a word.. stupid. In fact, my personal opinion is that Obama's insistence on taking the right wing into account not only makes his policies weak, it make him look PERSONALLY weak. So I have a question for you: How do you think conservatives would respond if Obama would just say "Damn the conservative/ big business torpedoes... full speed ahead". Positive? Negative? Both?
