Hrm, well, I hadn't heard of it til you posted this, but according to wikipedia: "the Solomon Kane world premiere was on 16 September 2009 at the Toronto Film Festival. The film was featured at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con, which Basset and Purefoy both attended. Rogue Pictures has acquired the film to be released in 2010. It was released in France on 23 December 2009. It was released in Spain on 1 January 2010. The United Kingdom theatrical release was on 19 February 2010."
Maybe Rogue hasn't done the U.S. distribution yet.

Hello,

I think I'm spoiled, thinking that all movies ought to come here first, or at least soon. It's true, we may be at tail end of distribution, since this movie was made elsewhere.

"Dude! Does that work? Can we all play?"

I have had good results so far. Of course, it's still in testing stages, and the filtering logic isn't perfect. Still, the idea of being able to choose your wellspring is exciting. Everyone can choose what to drink, and how much toxin to endure while quenching their thirst for knowledge. I hope with time the filtering logic can be perfected and this can be available for everyone who wants it.

MINCINGBEAST

I'd nearly forgotten about this film--I recall being very stoked for it two...three years ago?

Its going to be rad to see Solomon on film, even if he's portrayed by James Purfoy. The lack of hype, and weird distribution, does not inspire confidence. But as long as Solomon kills sinners with his sword, I will enjoy the movie.

El-Borak > Solomon Kane > Conan.

From the clips I've seen, the movie's production values are high. And I liked Purefoy in Rome, where he proved to have a physical presence as well as charm.

I hear it's going to come out on June 28th on DVD in Region 2. That probably means no big screen release for the US, which is sad. Anyhow, maybe we'll at least get it on DVD here soon?
