The States all adopted the Bill of Rights as condition of ratifying the US Constitution.

That's very different from the feds passing millions of statutes and codes, none of which would apply to the States if the Constitution and Bill of Rights were obeyed by the feds.

This is a rare example of the feds and States being forced by 4 little citizens to obey The Law.

My question is why didn't all those lawyers file such an appeal 30 years ago?

To answer your various questions (and if you stuck a mike in my face, I'd stick it where the sun don't shine on you):

are you for or against gun control? I'm for gun control only to a degree.

Are you for the idea that some people should be unarmed? Only criminals, but that's not possible.

Do you believe that a governing body should control how and when you defend yourself? No.

Should blacks have guns? Whether people should have guns or not should have nothing to do with their race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or skin color.

Should felons, after having served their sentence, be disarmed? Depends on the felon, their crime, and whether their crime was a violent one.

Should anyone accused of "domestic violence" be disalowed gun ownership? I would wish that could be so.
