Im fucking pissed off that the movement thru the Express under the bus (heh, see what I did there?) to gain some clout... but whatever, the NON-VIOLENT revolution keeps going. And for those paying attention... this NON-VIOLENT movement, its lucky, and for your benefit. Do I really have to spell out what would happen if we got tired of playing nice?

The point is trying to be made that there are racist elements in the Tea Party--which I'm not going to debate because I already posted enough FACTS to show it's true.

Cus, you can complain and whine and pule about how things are till the cows come home... but you will just be whining until you DO something about it. So. What will that ACTION be? Will it be violent? Well thats pointless. The sheep don't understand tearing the throat out of their oppressor. It just upsets them. Well. I guess that leaves a non-violent overthrow of the current order of being. As the sheep only understand rules, given to them by the shepheard... we need a new shepheard.

Imagine: "It is a sad reality that, no matter the strides that have been made in the past decades, there remain elements of our great American society that cannot leave the inequalities of the past in the past. In times of political unrest, when new voices speak out to challenge the existing leadership, it is an unfortunate truth that some individuals will take advantage of the opportunity to bring their biases to the forefront. "Those who taint the message of the Tea Party movement with their racism and bigotry not only hinder us in our quest for smaller government and greater individual freedom, but they act directly against our goals. And so I stand before you today to unequivocally state that any discrimination based on race, gender, or sexual orientation is unwelcome in the Tea Party. I hope that all of our members are active in keeping the focus of our movement where it needs to be, so that we can achieve our true aims in November..." Why couldn't anyone have said something like that weeks, months ago? Why's it so hard? Yee-haw Tea Party! Yee-haw freedom and the America way! Yee-hew acceptance of ALL potential members, and focus on what they CLAIM to be their issues... The fact that I could write that up in 2 minutes, yet no Tea Partiers did, speaks volumes to me. Maybe "discrimination based on race, gender, or sexual orientation is unwelcome in the Tea Party" would not have been a true statement, and that's why it wasn't said? ----------------------------------------------- hmm-burble-blah, blah-blah-blah, take a left

Quote:A leader of the Tea Party Express (TPX) says the Tea Party Federation was wrong to banish one of TPX’s highest-profile activists, Mark Williams, for what have been described as racially insensitive actions. Williams and the Tea Party Express were expelled from the federation after Williams came under attack for a satirical response to the NAACP’s resolution last week condemning racist elements of the Tea Party movement. The satirical piece mocked NAACP leader Ben Jealous in a “letter” to President Abraham Lincoln, and was used by critics to say Williams is a racist. Joe Wierzbicki, a founding member of TPX, told The Daily Caller in an e-mail that the federation was “wrong.” “Circular firing squads of groups within the Tea Party movement attacking one another accomplish nothing, and on this issue the Tea Party Federation was wrong, and enabled and empowered the NAACP’s racist attacks on the Tea Party movement,” Wierzbicki said. He said it’s no big deal that TPX, which has been a very visible organization in the grassroots movement, was expelled too. “We’re really not concerned by it,” he said. “The Tea Party Express with over 400,000 members is far larger than the Tea Party Federation’s entire membership.”

Anyway, they're gone for now, they will be back with a new name, and a new party affiliation, watch out dems, they might call themselves "the radical progressive front for wanting your money." (TPE ripped tea partiers off to the tune of $1.33M)

Just wondering when they're going to condemn the racist elements within the Democratic party, or the Republican party, or among the Independents. Singling out possible racist elements only within the Tea Party and asking for the Tea Party leadership to repudiate them is a clever piece of political theater because there are a lot of folks of all political persuasions who will read it as "The Tea Party is Racist". Also, there's not really any unified national Tea Party leadership, so there's no one group which can act on the accusations.
