Ayep, saw that, I think he's screwed - that one not only needs specific knowledge, I think it needs specialized tools too, imma look into it, but it's a suckass job, that I will say.

Conversely YOU or someone else mentioned fixing a Durango - and my ex has the pickup version, the Dakota, and informed me of the SAME DAMN PROBLEM not six hours ago, and guess WHO gets elected to fix it...

I'm only partially joking. I didn't fix mine - I glued the gorram window up, and decided to not do drive-thru anymore. It's not elegant, but it's simple. :)

By the way, there is a certain liberating feeling in driving a car or truck that you absolutely couldn't give a fuck about. I have no compunction at all about taking the easy way out on repairs with this heap. In the past, I've been a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my Hondas. With this Dodge, I refuse to care more about it than the folks who more or less put it together. :)

Yes, it's the front half of the Dodge Omni front-drive economy car with a pickup bed grafted on. It came that way from the factory. On purpose. I am not making this up.

It was the answer to another question nobody asked: the VW Rabbit pickup.

A friend actually has one of those that's pretty quick. He did the full GTI conversion on it, with a cross-flow head, full GTI suspension, Recaro seats and all. It puts the fun back in funky!

Not sure if one could make a pickup out of this, though...

It certainly wouldn't hold much!

Actually imma mechanical savant - IF I can get it apart, AND I can figure out how it works in the first place, I can fix, well enough, damn near anythin, the same gift Kaylee has, really.

Okay, so I don't know shit about cars, but those are sure some purrrty ones!

There was an outdoor car show in Fairfax we passed by yesterday on the way to run the huskies. I oogled...I LOVE those old cars, but for me it's the REALLY old ones that turn me on. We didn't have time to stop, but they had one closer a few years ago and I adored it!
