Remember me saying that when they got that idiotic tobacco tax increase (amounting to 1300% *not a typo* on bulk products) under the excuse they needed the money for SCHIP, that they would loot it for something else, and then whine that they needed ANOTHER increase to fund SCHIP, like they have every single time before ?

Well, here's yet another case of the same shit.

So much for the money going into healthcare improvements, ehe ?

EVERY time they push one of these "Sin Taxes" - which of itself is amazingly offensive because it's just a sneaky way of enforcing religion via the law, which is why I find people bitching about Sharia Law (as opposed to Blue Laws?!) so damn ridiculous - the politicians behind it see it as an endless piggybank and loot it continually, while using the same excuse for every increase, yet the money NEVER gets to where it was promised, does it now ?

How many times this gotta happen before folk stop believing those promises - and yes, I *have* engaged in active economic sabotage against SCHIP, so what - you try to rob me with religious motives behind it, I don't care if yer Mother Theresa, imma attack you for it, brutally.
Taxation is enforced via threat of violence, therefore if you offer violence or threat thereof to me, the non-aggression principle does NOT apply to YOU.

Oh, and it seems the Detroit Police might not get their posh new HQ after all...

Of course, that *ISN'T* what they told the voters those bonds were FOR, mind you... and all that money for this shit while people die cause the EMT and Firefighters do not have enough personnel or equipment to even do their job, *hissssss*

I want that "Public Safety" budget SPLIT into seperate ones, so the DPD can't keep robbing vital services to live like kings.

Hello,

I remember when the Lottery was approved by voters in Florida. It was sold largely on the premise that vast sums of money from the Lottery proceeds would be funneled into the schools, creating a brighter future for all Florida youths.

And it came to pass. Millions of dollars from the Lottery poured into the school system.

And millions were deducted from the budget.

And allocated to other uses.

Net zero increase for schools. Fat paycheck for someone else.

It's almost a universal law.

In fact, let's call it the First Law of Government Revenue: Any money appropriated by the government for any specific use will be reallocated in whole or in part for other uses.
