Poor planning on the City of Sweetwater's behalf caused this fire. What idiots would set off fireworks right in the middle of downtown with all of these tall buildings in the way of the ambers?? Here is the best part: Sweetwater FD said on the radio "all clear up here" when they were looking for possible fire hazards on top of buildings. 30 mins later, this 3 story building catches on fire with Sweetwater FD Engines and Ladder truck sitting RIGHT NEXT to the building that caught on fire !

Instead of SFD sitting on their asses looking at the pretty fireworks and using the Ladder truck as a ordainment for the festival they should have been using the Ladder truck to spray water on top of the buildings that had ambers flying on them as a prevention method. Good ole Duh Tennessee for ya ! Safety first you morons !
