Sight...she's got something to say about everything. And it always gets coverage.

In a Thanksgiving message, Sarah Palin made fun of the president, herself and one of her favorite targets, the media.

Thursday's Facebook post came on the heels of a mistake she made on conservative Fox News anchor Glenn Beck's radio show earlier this week. She mistakenly referred to America's ally, North Korea instead of South Korea, a story many in the media covered quickly.

"It seems they couldn't resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline," Palin wrote. "The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us."

Uhhh, EVERYONE gets laughed at for one word slips of the tongue, from the President on down. If she wants to put herself out there, give out lots of interviews and feels the need to "speak to the American public", she shouldn't get pissed off that it gets reported. Defensive, slightly?
Quote:

She said her gaffes receive more attention than those made by the president and vice president. In honor of the claimed-disparity she titled the post "A Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States," a reference to a mistake President Obama made on the campaign trail in 2008.
Oh, hysterical; she MAKES more gaffes, so of course they get more attention, and every time Obama or Biden make any gaffe, it gets just as much, if not more, attention. It's a per-gaffe world. And of course it's valid to refer back to a gaffe made two years ago herself...
Quote:

The former Alaska governor dedicated the first paragraph of the post to almost a dozen slips of the tongue by Obama.

"I didn't have enough time to do one for Joe Biden," she wrote.

Palin also chastised the media for creating stories "out of thin air."

"Let's hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America's free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!"

...or maybe that SHE might get it right next time, so it doesn't end up getting ridiculed? Where exactly was their reporting of it "untruthful"?

Poor Sarah...if she can't take the heat NOW, what on earth would she do if she actually got in OFFICE??

Why do I put up all her silliness? Because she IS silly, and she consistently makes a big deal out of everything. If she wants to be in the media's attention, she should be willing to take the heat for something stupid she herself did. Shame she can't laugh these things off...says a lot about her.

I guess she still hasn't looked up the seven U.S. territories. Shocking.

Facts are stubborn things.

Gaffe Master Biden has gotten so many passes for the loonitic things he's said, not to mention the pass he got when his daughter got caught snorting coke.

I saw Obama's mistake re the "57" states. He simply misspoke; he meant he had visited 47 states.

Palin's making fun of a mistake like this, which can happen to the best of us on a bad day, is quite petty, IMO.

Well, she made a simple mistake, too, so there's not much difference. Reaching BACK two years to do so, however; that's petty to me.

Shit...I posted that, but when I went back in to correct the title, it wasn't there. Clicked on "threads" again, refreshed, STILL no post from me, so I wrote it again...and it came up a double post. Weird...
