"Socialist and unashamed about it."

National, even.

Well.

If God can forgive you for your ignorance, and your evil, so can I. Especially during the Christmas season.

Doesn't mean you will be allowed to destroy the world. But, for now, enjoy things.

Even angels can dance with hells sucubi in these days.

Gawd, Wulf...you can't even put up a "merry christmas" without turning it all into snarks, can you? Geeez...how old ARE you, anyway?

If I'd seen Kane's Xmas wish first, I'd have responded there and ignored this one. I assume by

you mean me. What problem exactly do you have with me wishing everyone a Merry Christmas???

Pathetic...hope you enjoy your holidays anyway, you pup.

Maybe your stupid god will forgive your evil and your ignorance, Wulfie, but Jesus thinks you're an asshole and says you're going to hell. The rest of us just think you're an asshole.

May your christmas be less grim than ours here.

Someone said "this has been one of the worst years ever" and my brother said "careful, the year's not over yet." worth bearing in mind:things got much worse after that day.

So, there are still nine or ten days left to 2010. I fear them.

Hang in there, DT, even if it's by your fingernails.

I learned a long, long time ago to never say "Things can't get any worse," because they invariably CAN. Instead, I say "Things should be looking up any moment now."

My thoughts are with you and yours. I've been there, and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Our holidays are going to be somewhat glum, but we're alive, we're healthy (for now), and we're sheltered. We don't have much, but we're finding ways to share with those who have less.

The future begins one nanosecond from now.

What I want for Christmas this year is for DT to have a better one, and for next year to be better still. And I'll extend that to every Browncoat in the 'verse.

It'll be a subdued Christmas, short a couple of members, it might come from the cancer ward, no trees please... It's just gonna be kinda quiet, then were all going to slink back under our various rocks.

I think a better future involves more planning, I feel as if we've planned far more than done, but still, definitely a lack of proper planning is a major problem. Fate doesn't just deal out its sentence, it is the result of what we do, not only when we do the things which cause our circumstances, but in how we deal with them.

At the moment, I'm dreading asparagus.

Wow, DT, I could have written exactly that! Obviously we haven't suffered anything LIKE the serious stuff you have, but it's been a bad year nonetheless. We're not celebrating, I'm making a turkey and we're grateful Jim has four days off this week and next week. That's the sum total of our "holiday cheer". Holding a good thought it's better for ALL of us next year...

I shouldn't complain. I've got Jim, Choey, the huskies and a home I love...it don't get no better than that. And nothing comares to what you've had to go through...SURELY next year will be better!

We wouldn't even have a tree if Choey hadn't volunteered to trim it for us; my back just doesn't handle the trimming and UNtrimming anymore; but the tree is purty and brings back a lot of memories of better times.

I hope you find some peace, at least, tomorrow, and something to feel good about. Take care...

Merry Solstice. Ours is white. Let the Ice Age begin!

3 deaths this year, so far. My age, slightly older and ancient.

The ancient one apparently hated her stepkids, either before and/or after dementia, which was capitalized upon by an evil estate plan lawyer. No inheritance until 3 years after death, then a structured payout, which keeps that lawyer on retainer at $400/hr. Between the $70,000/year for assisted living, the lawyer, and the previous/impending stock market collapses, I doubt there will ever be an inheritance seen by the family. Not that the family needs it, but it's the principle/principal of the thing, especially to the ones who actually put up with her shit for 75 years. The bogus trust could be busted based on her dementia and contract fraud, but my family of lawyers are too lazy, stoopid and/or cowardly. Even a legal battle would probably end up like Charles Dickens' Bleak House.
