moratorium-issues-partial-ban-via-executive-order

i see while i was preoccupied with the side effects of this sort of this, our loser gov vetoed the ban. his replacement has no force, and allows drilling and exploration to continue

meanwhile, obama's new small busiess 2011 tax schedule puts me out of business. i am one of.six small business owners i know, five of whom will be closing their doors tomorrow because of the new law.

tomorrow its back to cancer research for me

Explain again why drilling and exploration is a bad thing here ?

Because the oil companies haven't proven that they know what the hell they're doing? 'Cause they don't have the technology to make deep water drilling safe? 'Cause we don't want to destroy the Gulf of Mexico twice?

HKCavalier.

As I understand it, the issue isn't about off shore drilling at all. It's more an issue of horizontal drilling vs vertical drilling, in the state of NY.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

In a nutshell, I have heard two problems associated with Fracking.

1) Chemicals are released by the process that surface in sites other than the well proper. (Contaminating homes in areas near the drilling site.

2) Byproducts of mining are toxic and not contained to the mining site, thus contaminating the area with toxic chemicals.

In short, this mining process is the functional equivalent of chemical warfare on the entire neighborhood where it is practiced.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Rappy, fracking contaminates groundwater supplies just as surely as deep water drilling causes spills. As a person who agonized over the fouled beaches and waters of the Gulf, you must surely be empathetic to the people whose groundwater will be fouled for centuries.

I confess lots of ignorance on this issue. If true, then creating / saving jobs while risking the environment to such a degree is a bad trade off, imo.

HK - no worries. Happens to the best of us.

Good God Auraptor. Are you really that much of a fucking moron? I don't want to make any stereotypes about the state of Georgia, but holy mother of God what are you guys smoking?

1) The whole point of drilling is not natural gas. It consumes more fuel to extract the gas than the gas they get.

2) The cost of extracting the gas is about a thousand times the value of the gas

3) It permanently pollutes the environment by poisoning the water supply with up to a thousand known toxins and carcinogens.

4) Which would be the only conceivable point in doing it, to poison the poor, the inferiors, to serve the eugenicist master plan and to aid the Blue Gold conspiracy crowd in controlling the supply of clean water.

But even if you did not possess the somewhat self apparent intelligence necessary to discern the rather obvious facts of the situation...

You would have to have an IQ of less than a rabiit to take this argument to someone whose sister was just diagnosed with brain cancer, in an office where everyone working there, yes, 100% of the staff, now has brain cancer, with a statistical probability of several quadrillion to one, and yes that was not a typo, in no small part due to the largest fracking fluid waste disposal site being placed 1/2 mile from the water supply.

It would require the common sense that God gave a brain damaged chimpanzee to not try to argue with the victims of a crime on why they should not support the crime.

So, just because I have at least up until right now had some modicum of respect for you, I will spell it out:

Clean water is a property rights issue

It is a survival issue, not just an environmental issue, but a right to live issue.

And finally, seizing control of a natural resource such as water, or even natural gas, which is so not necessary because the world has an extreme excess of oil and other fossil fuels as anyone with half a brain who spent half a day looking into it would already know, that control commodities are a keystone of fascism, eugenics, and extermination of the perceived inferiors, and as a member of the American underclass and son of a holocaust survivor are actually, yes, issues to me.

Also, anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of science that even a person with a 5th grade education would have, and I assume that would include all of you, that these chemicals are completely unnecessary to even this process, let along the extraction of natural gas, etc.

This is not a political issue to debate at tea time as to whether we do or do not allow ourselves to be exterminated. This is war. If you cannot recognize the difference then you do not possess the common sense that God gave a termite, much less an ant.

Rap,

PS. Sorry for the rant, I didn't see your later post. But still, I thought I'd leave this rant because it was pretty well warranted.

You and I as I see it, though we disagree on a number of issues, are in the same boat, as a population, and that boat is currently under attack, and I humbly suggest that you take a slightly more skeptical eye to the turn of events in environmental and resource management, and apply the common sense to realize that the actors in this case possess and infinite amount of money because they are backed by international banks and that this leads to the inescapable conclusion that this is not about money, but rather about population control, which, in a word, means genocide.

Hillbillies are the new black, and they do mean to kill us off, and they have many way that they intend to do it, and we might want to think about it for a minute before we just let them do it.

It changes the 1099 filing requirements to make those who sell things under what would traditionally be considered "mom and pop" levels to file as contractors, with a tax rate of about 30% + 20% FICA, and 10% state making it 60%. Since we have no proof of expenses, and profit margin is about 50% we will actually be taxed at 120% if we don't incorporate.

This means that the only option is to incorporate. This is also not possibly profitable, unless I can create a clever way to exploit the Bush tax cuts which Obama, as his only good act as president to date, has had the good courtesy to extend. I can work on that, but not right now. And, yes, I say this from a non-partisan position as someone who really really hated Bush.

This, plus the continued, and in fact, deliberate destruction of the environment in order to pass radical legislation, to poison the earth, and simultaneous assemble an internal army of a million for the singular purpose of silencing dissent in America, establishing a policy of assassination, even for american citizens, for as small a crime as the non-crime of speaking against the govt., or blogging, equating freedom of information with terrorism, and setting up a Chinese-style Great Firewall. Blame who you will for it, but in the NWO, no one will have the power to determine their own destiny, no one will be free, and we will all be slaves, as the Earth is destroyed. Have you checked out the disaster that is Brazil lately?

The changes are subtle, but the goal here is clear: to ban small enterprise. This is probably to prepare us for some giant social works program like FDR that we will be thankful for when we have no income, and we are wallowing in debt that they keep pushing us to take, that I will not and cannot take... And the purpose of that machine is to sacrifice us all in a great war which has one purpose, to exterminate us.

I'm sorry, I'm in a bad mood.

Sig

We are going to disagree on politics, I get that. Nonetheless, I have no time to discuss it, and furthermore, I'm about to ask you for help

You're one of the few people here who has any background to understand anaplastic glioblastoma multiforme. Yes, we have to put aside our political differences to unite against a common enemy, and I think we can all agree on who those people are to some extent, or at the very least, on what they are doing, but before we can do that, I'm forced to deal with the side effects of what they have done.

All of my future posts that are not altogether pithy are going to be on the topic of cancer.

Any chance you can lend a hand with that?

It would be much appreciated.
