Likes to mess with stuffs.

Going against consensus that The Cape's first hour is better than the second for the two hour Sunday night premiere, it was off to a slow start before winning the 10 p.m. time slot for the second hour, earning an average of 8.4 million viewers overall.

Could it be that there were more Summer in the second hour than the first?

"The Cape" will return in its usual 9 p.m. Monday time slot on Jan. 17.

Actually, I'm fairly certain Summer had more screen time and more lines in the first part, than in the 2nd.

Obviously Summer's character is meant to be mysterious and crap (even though most about her was already long leaked on PR statements), so they're going to keep Orwell in the dark for awhile.

"She understands. She doesn't comprehend."

Although I put in a full days work and was tired as hell, I’ve had this show on my radar for months now, and watched the entire pilot episode, well, all except for the first 4 minutes which I caught when it replayed Monday night.

Be that as it may I don’t blame the actors for the writing or the action seen on the small screen during Sunday night‘s premier. Summer was her usual stunning self and Keith David, I always enjoy watching his work. This first showing of the “Cape” may have gotten a boost from the multihued of “browncoat” fans that will give it decent numbers but I would like to tell the producers, that for it’s survival there will have to be some changes made to help it stay alive.

This first showing relied so much on making the emotional family link that it missed connecting to the basics. Yes, we know that Faraday is a loving husband and father, and yes we know that he is devoted in law-enforcement, there was way too much time spent on proving these points. I do think the episode was too fast paced also ( something I’ve read from other posts about the show)

Seems that NBC & ABC are looking to do battle with 4 of our BDHs. Am I seeing this right?…… or is this just my warped imagination. Looks like a big neon sign reading “ Come see fellow browncoats- We’ve got x-Firefly actors on our shows”

All the luck to River, I mean Summer, Keith and the cast of “ The Cape”. I’ll continue to watch, but I think there is much to be learned by the creators of this show . There are writers on this very site that could have written a better pilot episode.

JMO, ZZ
