Was just touching up on an older work of mine ("In a room with a psychic"). And I could use some advice.

With the advent of Blu-Ray, and me having fast enough hardware now to run complex temporal denoisers, I was recently able to better delineate where River's hair actually stops and the (darkish) background begins (see below). So I restored part of her hair to full glory, but not too much: having a huge black 'back pack' disturbs the center of gravity too much, as it were (specifically the forward momentum of the figurine).

At least... that's what I can't decide on. The outtake on the left is the original; the middle image is with full hair; and the one on the right is a trimmed down version of the middle (which is what I went with for the time being).

Which one do you prefer? The middle, with full hair? Or the one one the right, with somewhat toned down hair?

The one on the left looks more natural in weight to me. I think the middle one is just too dense and the one on the right is still on the heavy side. Both the middle and the right hand side one, make the head look larger than natural.

I think the left one is just fine -- personally.

Thank you for your feedback; and for confirming my own sense of balance: restoring her hair, however minutely (even though her hair really is that full), just means disturbing the whole.
