I Dream of Chink Eyes in Carbonite: No blacks nor US citizens allowed to work on ChiCom MLK in DC

As Chinese workers build the Martin Luther King memorial, a union investigates

Francis Jacobberger's plan was simple - show up with a six-pack of beer and talk his way into a Crystal City apartment. An investigator for the Washington area union that represents stonemasons, Jacobberger was working a case dear to the members: Who should build the centerpiece of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial - Americans or imported Chinese workers?

In September, the foundation building the $120 million memorial on the Mall promised in writing to use local stonemasons to assemble and install the 159 blocks of granite that will make up two massive sculptures at the center of the site, including one bearing King's likeness.

But when construction of the sculptures began three weeks ago, it appeared that the foundation had reneged. Jacobberger, a wiry 32-year-old former bricklayer from Delaplane, was asked to find the Chinese laborers who were brought in to work on the King memorial and determine whether they were being exploited.

MLK vs MAO, same artist, different taxslaves

If all went well, Jacobberger would finally know what the workers were paid and what their living conditions were like. His suspicion was that they were not being paid anything close to the prevailing wage for an American stonemason - $32 an hour, plus $12 an hour in benefits.

The New MLK Statue is a Fine Example of Chinese Communist Iconography

“Just another clichéd statue of a Chinese leader,” I thought, as I moved on to other news.

Imagine my shock when I discovered that it was a statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. for a national memorial in Washington DC.

As it turns out, the statue is indeed an example of Chinese communist iconography. Malcolm Moore, the Telegraph’s Shanghai correspondent, reports,

The 30ft-tall statue, which forms the centrepiece of a $120 million (£73 million), four-acre memorial to Dr King, opened to the public on Monday on the National Mall in Washington. It is the only memorial on the Mall that does not honour a president or fallen soldiers.

Standing in the shadow of the Washington Monument, the statue shows Dr King emerging from a mountain of Chinese granite with his arms crossed and is called The Stone of Hope.

However, there has been controversy over the choice of Lei Yixin, a 57-year-old master sculptor from Changsha in Hunan province, to carry out the work. Critics have openly asked why a black, or at least an American, artist was not chosen and even remarked that Dr King appears slightly Asian in Mr Lei’s rendering.

Mr Lei, who has in the past carved two statues of Mao Tse-tung, one of which stands in the former garden of Mao Anqing, the Chinese leader’s son, carried out almost all of the work in Changsha.

More than 150 granite blocks, weighing some 1,600 tons, were then shipped from Xiamen to the port of Baltimore, and reassembled by a team of 100 workmen, including ten Chinese stone masons brought over specifically for the project.

Obama's Dream Job: Martin Luther King Statue With Made in China Label

An American bricklayer's union is calling on the Obama administration to deny visas to a group of Chinese workers selected to travel to Washington this fall to assemble a sculpture on the National Mall in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This morning members of the Local 1 Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers union leafleted the Martin Luther King Memorial Foundation offices in downtown Washington, telling commuters that outsourcing the project to China and denying U.S. workers the opportunity to contribute to the monument during a time of high unemployment is "wrong, wrong, wrong."

Scott Garvin, president of Local 1, questioned why the government would pass over the same group of workers that have worked on virtually every other project on the National Mall.

"With the record of China on human rights, and the fact that we have such high unemployment in the United States, we're wondering why?" Garvin asked. "We want to the let the public to be aware of the problems with this particular memorial and hopefully we can get some of our United States citizens working on this project."

Although the Chinese sculpting delegation is not large -- about eight to 12 workers -- the union contends that with the vast pool of unemployed Americans, skilled jobs like those selected for the project should be prioritized for American workers. The union has appealed to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to deny visas for the Chinese workers on the project. The State Department on Monday defered questions about the visas to the King Memorial Foundation.

Critics say the controversy is somewhat ironic given the fact that the objective of King's March on Washington in 1963 was about enlisting American jobs, in addition to drawing attention to the civil rights movement.

"There's so many people that believe in what Dr. King spent his life working on, and unions are organizations that share those visions as well," Garvin said. "Workers' rights, the dignity of coming out there day-in and day-out and just trying to provide for your family. Giving everybody a fair opportunity to voice their opinion, and for people to stand together for a democratic process."

Workers Appeal to Obama: Protect Jobs

Harry E. Johnson, President and CEO at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, says that only the centerpiece of the memorial, the Stone of Hope, will be completed by Chinese artisans, and the overwhelming majority of the four-acre project is being finished by American workers.

"We are proud of the fact that we have been inclusive of workers from all walks of life-- as Dr. King would have wanted in espousing his message of not judging a person by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character," Johnson said in a statement to ABC News. "While 95 percent of the work is being done by American workers, we strongly believe that we should not exclude anyone from working on this project simply because of their religious beliefs, social background or country of origin."

Barbara Moore, an unemployed bricklayer and member of Local 1, says she has been out of work for nearly one year, and called on the president to bring down the unemployment rate and show leadership on the economy.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Seems ironically appropriate, since right-wingers always insisted that MLK was a communist. And since they're so big on sending American jobs (like overpaid stonemasons, who probably have a union and stuff...) overseas, this seems like a win-win for the righties.

Funny how the Washington DC population is 99% black, but the govt couldn't find a single black person to work on this $200-million tax-increase project, to honor a black US citizen assassinated by FBI and Demorat president LBJ.

So far, black sheeple are too stupid to notice, and keep worshipping Jesse Jackson who was the FBI informant who got MLK shot that day.

Are you figuring out that Dems and Gops are 2 sides of the NWO coin?

This statute is also a psyop to brainwash blacks that Communism is their friend, along with homicidal Comrad Hussein Obama.

Obama and Congress are quietly approving the Asian NAFTA treaty, to export even more jobs and import even more illegal aliens. It eliminates all tariffs with Commie China.
