Watch the video and then do the jazz hands thing if you agree they are all nuts: www.y**tube.com/watch?v=3QZlp3eGMNI Also, I'd love to get them all to say: Speaker: "We are all..." Crowd: "We are all..." Speaker: "F**king morons." Crowd: "F**king morons." or Speaker: "We love..." Crowd: "We love..." Speaker: "George Bush" Crowd: "George Bush" or Speaker: "Try Wendy's new..." Crowd: "Try Wendy's new..." Speaker: "Big and Tasty Cheesburger." Crowd: "Big and Tasty Cheeseburger." or Speaker: "Lets all..." Crowd: "Lets all..." Speaker: "jump off a bridge." Crowd: "jump off a bridge." After watching that video I begin to see the root of our economic problems. Jazz hands if you agree! H "Hero. I have come to respect you." These rallies have been legally forbidden to use any kind of mechanical amplification, even something as simple as a bullhorn. So they use people-power. In every sense of the word. Don't you feel just a little bit stupid now, 'Hero'? Remember when teachers, public employees, Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS crashed the stock market, wiped out half of our 401Ks, took trillions in taxpayer funded bailouts, spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico, gave themselves billions in bonuses, and paid no taxes? Yeah, me neither....

Quote:Many of the wall street babies are whining about the banks being bailed out, but not the average citizens. Thing is, the banks paid BACK their loans, with interest, which netted the fed govt a tidy profit. So what's the damn problem ? When told the facts, I bet many would turn and just go home.

Quote:There is significant overlap between Americans who identify as supporters of the Tea Party movement and those who identify as conservative Republicans. Their similar ideological makeup and views suggest that the Tea Party movement is more a rebranding of core Republicanism than a new or distinct entity on the American political scene. {Table of "Partisan and Ideological makeup of Tea Party Supporters} Conservative Republicans outnumber moderate/liberal Republicans in the general population by about a 2-to-1 margin; among Tea Party supporters, the ratio is well more than 3 to 1. More generally, almost 8 out of 10 Tea Party supporters are Republicans, compared with 44% of all national adults. http://www.gallup.com/poll/141098/tea-party-supporters-overlap-republican-base.aspx are numerous studies which have found the same thing. We don't know for sure what the OWS (Occupy Wall Street) crowds are made up of, but glancing at any video of them shows people of all colors, ages and makeup. New York magazine did an unofficial poll of 100 of them, with this result Male: 66% Female: 30% Under 20: 10 20-29: 50 30-39: 15 40-49: 9 Over 50: 2 Capitalism isn't fundamentally evil; it just needs to be regulated: 46%. http://www.revleft.com/vb/make-up-opinions-t162070/index.html% of Republicans agree with Occupy Wall Street. A Rasmussen Poll found that the Occupy Wall Street crowd and the Tea Party agree on one thing: The big banks got bailed out but the middle class got left behind. http://blogs.dailymail.com/donsurber/archives/43730 the Tea Party AGREES by a huge margin with the main point behind the Occupy Wall Street protests...ergo, he is trashing the very people he's been defending all along. It's so damned obvious that if he THINKS the left has anything to do with it, it's GOT to be bad, and if he thinks the right has anything to do with it, it's GOT to be good. Why do people bother? He doesn't even KNOW what the things/people he's trashing are about, much less understand them, he just does it by reflex, so what is the point in even trying to communicate with him? It's absolutely true: I have no doubt there will be factions who will try to make hay on the OWS demonstrations, there always are. The Tea Party, however, not only BEGAN with financial backing by right-wing interests, but grew because of their funding and continues to argue in their favor. I believe at this point at least, the OWS IS grass roots--lord knows they're disorganized enough! We'll see what the future brings, but his conviction that something which has been proven over and over to be backed by monied interests is "real", and something which nobody has proven has backing by any monied interests and which has so may different interests represented is "astroturf" pretty much says it all.
