One thing I notice, apart from CEO wages. The candidates from each party who raise the most money become that parties official nomination.

Also, it appears there's a lot of economic market fears, but perhaps not justification for it. Maybe.

There's a fairly significant wealth gap.

The chart IS actually missing a few things, such as potential extraction pollution costs for Natural Gas.

Thanks Byte. That is a lot of data to plow through.

Hello,

On what basis was he able to calculate the cost of a Hogwarts education?

I think there's a conversion between galleons (wizard gold) and pounds given in one of the books, and the cost of tuition in galleons is also given somewhere. Once you have it in pounds, you basically just multiply by two to get dollars.

Hello,

It seems that the source article indicates that they pulled the tuition fees out of a proverbial magic hat, based on top British boarding schools. There is little basis for the assumptions made. If tuition fees are actually discussed in the primary material, why not use that data?

I find some of their other data suspect as well, and wonder how much shopping around the University did when they conducted their study.

Shame on the University for using such shoddy figures, and shame on the webcomic for allowing their humorous and ironic observations about finances to be corrupted with such poor research.

And to think, I was about to buy a Nissan Cube based on this data.

Hold your horses, there. I didn't know about their source table that Geezer posted.

And secondly, I don't think the ENTIRE table is dismissable based on the webcomic artist deciding to make a stab at guessing Hogwarts tuition costs for the sake of humour. You'd really have to evaluate each source and the resulting data on it's own merits.

I'm not sure there's anything for anyone to be ashamed about.

Though, yes, if I were you, I wouldn't base financial decisions on a web comic. The observations therein are still interesting however.

Hello,

Apologies, Byte, if it was not obvious. I was attempting to use humor and irony in a self-referential way.

The chart is rather interesting, and broadly informative.
