Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...
Quote: The New Orleans Saints admitted Tuesday to paying bonuses for hits that would knock opposing players out of a game, vowing the practice won't be repeated. Saints Head Coach Sean Payton and General Manager Mickey Loomis said they take "full responsibility" for the practice, which they said "happened under our watch." "These are serious violations, and we understand the negative impact it has had on our game," Loomis and Payton said in a statement issued Tuesday evening. "Both of us have made it clear within our organization that this will never happen again, and make that same promise to the NFL and most importantly to all of our fans." Quote:The one doing the illegal bounties is the one who got too comfortable in what he was doing. He got away with it, while doing the same thing with other teams, so he was more open about it with the Saints. HE got use to it, and because he didn't get in trouble, it become HIS norm... He got sloppy. And then got caught.

Me, I threw in the towel on the whole damn thing a long time ago, between corrupting the World League games by stacking the deck with "NFL Enhancement" players, killing off instant replay, and a game "winning" superbowl field goal that CLEARLY missed oh so conveniently right AFTER killing off instant replay so that shoveljob would fly. Didn't help matters none having accidently caught the handing over of a bribe on VHS tape and sending it to the league only for it to be ignored, neither - wish to hell I'd kept a copy of that tape or sent it to the media instead. -Frem I do not serve the Blind God.
