Oh it's gonna happen, Anthony.

RoboCop is coming to Detroit, it's just a matter of when
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120404/METRO/204040383

That'd be a fun little adventure, some merry pictures for the forum - just remember I gotta get back to my lair afore I turn into a pumpkin (i.e. start gettin ill) but that's all good.
It's been a good day today, the Washtenaw County Election Commision was unable to block a further recall effort against that ratbastard Snyder, and it had nothing to do with me stopping in to lean on them a bit, really...
(Okay, I glared at them, but that's all.)

Hello,

I found this interesting and thought to share with my fellow sci-fi fans.

How cool would that have been! I am dubious as to the amount, $150 million, even tripled for today's dollars, and how long would it take to build? And would you really need to build all of those rooms? Unless of course part of it was made up up hotel rooms or apartments/condos - "I live on the Enterprise..."
Star Trek, The Experience was a pretty fun little thing in it's own right. Props, a bridge with actors playing the roles of officers suddenly under attack, then everyone is whisked away by starfleet's best to a shuttle where the 3-d business happens and hydraulics provide the ride part - good simple silly fun. One thing was odd - I found it almost impossible to know how to talk to someone dressed up as a Klingon and totally in character. It felt like it broke the illusion to joke with him in our current dialect, but it was hard not to talk smack to him too.

Always wanted to ask the Klingons if they knew Zi Plock, the Warden of Freshness.

Well, they're Klingons - when all else fails, bare your teeth, straighten your shoulders and glare derisively, maybe growl a lil bit...
They'll either clobber you or laugh at your audacity.

There was this pack of Klingon girls (really damn good costuming, too!) I wound up drinking with at a Con in Chicago once, it was amusing watching how hard it was for other people to wrap their mind around what proper interaction might be, but I just walked up, shoved one and growled, "YOU, come drink with me!" which, given I am all of maybe five foot six and the one I pushed with the boots and all cleared six feet easy, they found tremendously amusing.

Hello,

Since Klingons do not say 'hello' approaching one and getting right down to business might just be the right approach.

Hell freaking yeah they'd have made their money back in a hurry! I'd bet that ComiCon would be there, along with every Trek convention and premiere. Hell, I'm not even much of a Trekkie, and I geeked out about this! I'd go, and I'd have a freaking blast.
