Hello,

I was heartened by this article, and what may be a softening of Mormon discrimination against Homosexuals. I laud tolerance wherever it rears its pretty head. May all other religions follow suit.

I wonder if that compassion will spread to the Mormon nominee for President.

There's actually quite a bit of acceptance about homosexuality among the young population, Salt Lake City has a thriving alternative scene. Kids go to seminary after school, then go home and put on their dog collars to drink and smoke and listen to punk music. Most of my friends are mormon, and married, but considered themselves bi for a long while.

It's the dinosaurs in charge of the church who are the problem. They had a no kissing zone instated around the grounds of their temple, and there were a bunch of kids, straight and not, who went there to protest it in the obvious way. Lot of them were arrested. :( But, they're trying, we're all trying.

Well, not quite *all*...

I have found Mormons to be relatively tolerant in comparison to other fundies.

However, I still chase Mormon missionaries away by telling them that I don't fit in the Church because I don't think homosexuality is a sin. They tend to not come back after that.
