Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Seems Romney hasn't made a lot of appearances since the conventions, unlike most candidates. Romney took the weekend after his convention off, unusual for a candidate. A little vacation weekend. Some time on his boat out on Lake Winnipesaukee.

About all we've seen of him since has been at a Latino gathering...where his son did most of the talking...in an apparent attempt to win over some Latinos (?). Given his record and all he's said, seems a pathetic hope.

This past weekend, he had no public events on Saturday. He was back home in Mass. On Sunday he did have one public event, but it got cancelled (I believe because of a plane crash?).

Monday he had one public event--a speech to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in So. Ca.

Tuesday he had two FUND RAISERS. Closed to the public, of course (unless there are some hidden cameras...).

As Lindsay Graham said, "I think what Romney needs to do is to get into Virginia and run for sheriff. This is not rocket science.

"There's not really a campaign here. He's getting ready for the debates and he's out fundraising", said a well-connected fundraiser.

Romney has spent only nine of the last nineteen days since the convention campaigning in battleground states. Romney has had only two rallies in the past week, while he's had seven private fundraisers and two days with no events at all.

Anyone wondering if his team has decided that the best way for Romney to "campaign" is to sit down, shut up, and hope the economy wins the election for him? Certainly having him open his mouth hasn't done them much good...

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Someone in his campaign probably saw this and thought it was serious:

"I supported Bush in 2000 and 2004 and intellegence [sic] had very little to do with that decision." - Hero

Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!"

Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."

Hee, hee, hee, I love it. That's about all they HAVE to do, if lately is anything to judge by!
