Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.
Quote: A BBC World Service opinion poll has found sharply higher overseas approval ratings for US President Barack Obama than Republican challenger Mitt Romney. An average of 50% favoured Mr Obama, with 9% for Mr Romney, in the survey of 21,797 people in 21 countries. Only Pakistan's respondents said they would prefer to see Mr Romney win November's election. France was the most strongly pro-Obama (72%). The survey was conducted by GlobeScan/PIPA between 3 July and 3 September.

Quote: (TIMES247) — The latest [dictator] to publicly announce his support for the commander-in-chief’s reelection bid was Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, who this week assured he’d vote for Obama if he were from the United States. The America-bashing strongman made the announcement on state-owned television, saying “Obama is a good guy” and that if Obama was from Caracas, he’d surely return the favor by voting for Chavez. Earlier in the year the government-official daughter of Cuban military dictator Raul Castro proclaimed her country’s support for Obama during a visit to the U.S. “I believe that Obama needs another opportunity and he needs greater support to move forward with his projects and with his ideas, which I believe come from the bottom of his heart,” Mariela Castro said during a cable news interview.

Quote:"All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate. [...] Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared."More at http://www.thepragmaticpundit.com/2012/07/romney-is-republican-with-enough.html] Hear it from his own mouth: The "rest of the world" hated us and feared us for good reason during Dubya's term because we were always throwing our weight around and bullying other nations (not to mention invading them...). The world has had it "up to here" with that sort of thing. I believe they see Obama as a more rational person by far and less willing to involve us in further hostilities, which is accurate. Obama is more willing to try and work with other nations and the UN, and isn't bent on some crusade to "finish what daddy started" (and whatever other reasons he had for invading Iraq, which he and his "brain trust" planned to do LONG before 9/11). No surprise Pakistan favors Romney, to me; Obama has been doing drone strikes there for ages. I'm guessing they're hoping Romney WOULDN'T. The unknown seeming better than the known, as it were.
