And now it's even worse than we know....

Quote:

Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda but President Obama denied the request.
The news broke on TheBlazeTV’s “Wilkow!” hosted by Andrew Wilkow, by best-selling author, Ed Klein who said the legal counsel to Clinton had informed him of this information.

Klein also said that those same sources said that former President Bill Clinton has been “urging” his wife [Hillary] to release official State Department documents that prove she called for additional security at the compound in Libya, which would almost certainly result in President Obama losing the election.

Klein explained that everyone knew what was happening in Benghazi from the CIA to the National Security Agency and that there’s intelligence cables that have not been released.
Wilkow asked, “If everybody knew this including the White House, who would have given the order to go in and save the ambassador?”
Klein, “The President…he should have given the order to use the rapid reaction force…”
Wilkow, “Not Petraeus?”

Klein, “Well it has to come from the president.”
Wilkow also asked Klein about Valerie Jarrett who’s the Senior Advisor to Obama and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, and her role in this cover-up.

Klein said, “We don’t know but we can only assume that every action that the president takes, and he said so, he is on the record saying “I don’t take any actions without passing it by Valerie Jarrett”... so we have to assume that Valerie Jarrett whose also by the way, hooked into the Chicago campaign line…she has a direct line to David Axlerod, was a part of this whole cover-up in the White House.”

This latest news comes on the heels when the Paulding County Republican Examiner reportedthat former CIA officer, Clare Lopez was a guest on the Glenn Beck TV on Monday evening and told Beck, “They let our ambassador and others die. In real time, watching it happen, and they didn't do anything about it.”

OK Jayne.

Your moronic snark aside, Kwickie, these 2 SEALS helped saved the lives of many Americans, before being killed themselves.

OUR Commander OF Chief, his people, watched all of this, via live video feed, and did exactly NOTHING to lift a finger to help them.

Worse still, ( if that were even possible ) is how the admin LIED, time and time again, trying to tie this attack to a YouTube video, which had Z E R O to do w/ why these men died.

Even the father of Tyrone Woods was told by Hillary, that they were determined to get WHO ? The attackers who murdered his son and 3 other Americans ?? NO !!

Hillary told Mr Woods that they were going to get the man BEHIND THE VIDEO, AND PROSECUTE HIM!!!!

Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME??? She even carried on the lie to the father of the dead navy SEAL !!!

Wrong.

It appears that some CIA security forces (ex-Seals, actually) went, against orders, to the consulate when shooting started, but sucessfully evacuated the survivors and the body of Sean Smith back to the CIA annex. The casualties on the CIA team were taken later, during a mortar and rocket attack on the CIA annex.

"Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

"Then within seconds there was a whooshing sound of rocket-propelled grenades being fired, raining down into the annex compound from attackers in positions concealed on rooftops and behind a stand of trees. In two minutes 15 RPGs hit. Then a pause. Then came the muffled sound of a mortar going off, and a devastating detonation as it hit the roof of one of the annex buildings. “It was a good shot,” says Febrayir. “Whoever fired it knew what they were doing.” It was dark. And they were too accurate. “They must have known the coordinates,” said Febrayir. He and his forces retreated down the road. Inside the annex, the high explosive rounds lobbed on top of the buildings killed two members of the quick-reaction team, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, who had taken up positions defending the compound. Special agent Ubben, who was barely able to move because of the smoke inhalation, also was hit by the blast but survived."

@ 6pm Friday, I flipped back and forth between FOX and CNN, to see what was going to be their lead stories.

FOX, was the Benghazi e-mails, and follow up w/ the interview of the father of Tyrone Woods.

CNN started off their news w/ the story of Sandy, and the impending FRANKENSTORM! Which likely will affect millions of folks, up in the NE seaboard area. Eventually.

Next ? Obama on the campaign trail! And Obama! Look at how he uses FACEBOOK !

BOMBSHELL: US Security Forces Would Not Have Been Painting Targets on Ground Unless There Was Air Support Overhead – But White House Called It Off

Posted by Jim Hoft on Friday, October 26, 2012, 6:26 PM

BOMBSHELL: US troops in Benghazi would not have been painting targets on the ground unless there was air support overhead.
But someone called it off – And the decision most likely came from the White House.

FOX News reported earlier today that security officers on the ground in Benghazi had a laser planted on a target that was firing on the annex.

The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.

So there were two drones in the air recording the attack on the ground. And now we know the CIA team at the annex was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. The White House was able to watch the attack live back in Washington DC. Yet, yesterday Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said this,

“The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over.”

JONGSSTRAW

The White House made a politically-motivated decision that the Ambassador and other US citizens' lives in Benghazi were expendable. The stand down orders, as well as the ensuing ridiculous cover-up storyline could only have come from either Obama, Axelrod, or Jarrett inside the WH Situation Room. It'll take some more time, but the State Dept. and CIA will eventually tell America the truth. The White House and the liberal media that's protecting Obama through inacurate, incomplete, and mind-numbingly obtuse reportage is trying to run out the clock to November 6th. And they'll likely succeed, considering Obama won't hold a press conference or address the nation after a month and a half of new disturbing details being revealed. Appearing on MTV, Leno, Letterman, hip-hop radio, etc, he doesn't get any hard questions, and that's just how they want it.

But although the stone wall is crumbling down piece by piece every day, Americans as a whole don't seem to be engaged, let alone outraged over all this. Half the country never heard of Benghazi. You have to ask...Where's any Democrat's outrage over this? Where's the once truth-seeking Washington Post on this? Et tu Colin Powell?

FREMDFIRMA

Umm, lest anyone forget, we kinda used our embassy as a C3 center to assist in the overthrow of the legitimate government of the country is was in.
Because of that, a lot of people, myself included, are wholly unsympathetic to any attempt on our behalf to play the diplomatic protections card.

As far as *I* understand it, some of those folk stayed behind to destroy sensitive files and equipment, and I can understand and sympathize with their intentions on a personal level, while on a professional level thinking them foolish for covering the bosses asses at the expense of their own lives.

Anyhows, we set loose a bull in a china shop down there, and did not expect to wind up kicked, on purpose or by accident ?

S'why this particular picking of a nit annoys me, cause most of the folks whinging about it had NO problem with us picking the fight that landed this assault on the doorstep - they just conveniently don't mention THAT fact.

Own your part of it, acknowledge moral responsibility for starting the cascade, before you blame the people it landed on.

Don't give me that overly righteous bullshit. You could have responded to my others question about were Fax and others are getting all this new information. Who are these sources?

Even if the Administration chose to not send help it was because they did not want to lose even more people. Hindsight is always 20/20. The only sick thing is that way you and others would use the deaths of these people to further your own political agenda. The right is great at doing that. You wrap yourself up in the flag and post bumper stickers to your cars but when the rubber meets the road you never seem to be there.

So I will ask again, who are these sources? Where is this information coming from? Quit with the faux outrage because it is clear Rappy that you realyl think the death of these people is the best thing to happen for the right is a long time.

Since the sources that could report this are probably CIA, I can understand why Fox wouldn't provide their names, thereby exposing them to retribution. The Fox reports do seem to align pretty well with the Newsweek article I cited earlier.

It's interesting that you have no problem citing Fox when you note that some CIA security forces left the CIA Annex for the consulate against orders, but don't believe the same sources when they say something you don't like.

Why don't you ask HIM, instead of vilifying the only network willing to tell the story ?

The State Dept has already come out and admitted that there was no issue of a YouTube video.

The e-mails which have been released, so far, clearly show that Obama , Hillary, Susan Rice, et al KNEW, in real time, that there was an attack going on, not a protest, and that none of this had 1 damn thing to do w/ a video.

And yet, as more and more evidence piles up, you STILL continue to -

support this piece of shit President

deny the facts of what was known, by whom , and when.

and mindlessly, childishly, vilify FOX, instead of holding this administration accountable for doing absolutely nothing while Americans were under attack.

Who is the source, where is the information coming from?

Without knowing this these reports may very well be horse shit.

Than you have to ask the question if the Administration could have helped, thought that it would have made a difference and didn't why? It obviously is not a political gain for the President. Ineptness is hard to believe since this is the Administration that Kill Bin Laden by violations another countries sovereignty. So why?

Than why not considare this....

CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood, though, denied the claims that requests for support were turned down.

"We can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi," she said. "Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night-and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades."

From one of the Fox news stories you posted. So, unnamed source, or the CIA? Hey, I'm not the one making claims the President when to bed or continuing to make claims that the administration blamed as video with certainty.

You REALLY find that's what is so fucking important in all this ? Your petty, personal grudges , and not the fact that this administration allowed for Americans to just get slaughtered ?

This isn't ABOUT FOX, or 1 gorram " right wing media " outlet. It's about an administrtion that allowed Americans to be slaughtered, despite repeated calls for back up, because doing other wise would cramp this asshole's political agenda.

Seems it happens on both sides, but you're such a partisan hack you'd never point that out.

The plot thickens...

Stories have changed and fingers are now being pointed...

Obama did not deny request for assistance from Benghazi diplomats says aide

The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th.

"Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

Fox News Channel reported Friday that American officials in the compound repeatedly asked for military help during the assault but were rebuffed by CIA higher-ups. At a press briefing one day earlier, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, asked why there had not been a quicker, more forceful response to the assault, complained of "Monday-morning quarterbacking." Panetta said he and top military commanders had judged it too dangerous to send troops to the eastern Libyan city without a clearer picture of events on the ground.

The "basic principle is that you don't deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on; without having some real-time information about what's taking place," he said during a joint question-and-answer session with Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff General Martin Dempsey.

[...]
But Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol, in a post published Friday, doubted Panetta's explanation and said the fault must lie with Obama himself.

"Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No," Kristol wrote. "It would have been a presidential decision."

"He's wrong," said Vietor.

Passing the buck back to DoD. But the Pentagon has denied it turned down any requests also, as did the CIA.

Just who in hell is in charge over there?

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

GOP's Benghazi Smoking Gun Goes Up in Smoke

Quote:

Reuters reported Wednesday that on September 11—the day of the attack—a State Department email with the subject header "Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack" was sent to the White House. The message stated that "Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli." Case closed, conservatives said: The White House had engaged in a cover-up.

"[T]he president and his advisers repeatedly told us the attack was spontaneous reaction to the anti-Muslim video and that it lacked information suggesting it was a terrorist assault," wrote Jennifer Rubin, president of the Washington Post's Mitt Romney fan club. "Bottom line? Barack Obama was willfully and knowingly lying to the American people," wrote Danielle Pletka, vice president for foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute. (Of course, the idea that the video played a role is not inconsistent with the idea that the attack was an "act of terror," a phrase the president himself used to describe the attack in the days following the incident.)

There's only one problem—well, actually, there are many, but one big one: The email appears to have been incorrect. Ansar al-Sharia in Benghazi, the group suspected of attacking the consulate, never claimed responsibility for the assault. In fact, according to Aaron Zelin, a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy who monitors jihadist activity online, Ansar al-Sharia in Benghazi didn't post about the attack on its Facebook or Twitter page until September 12, the day after the attack. They expressed their approval of the incident, but they didn't take credit; they did imply members of the group might have been involved, according to Zelin, stating, "Katibat Ansar al-Sharia [in Benghazi] as a military did not participate formally/officially and not by direct orders." The statement also justifies the attack by implicitly alluding to the anti-Islam video linked to unrest in other parts of the Middle East, saying, "We commend the Libyan Muslim people in Benghazi [that were] against the attack on the [Muslim] Prophet [Muhammad]."

"Even if the State Department email had been accurate, conservatives pounced on it eagerly without underlying corroboration, thereby providing a pretty good example of how complicated intelligence analysis can be and why it's a bad idea to simply jump on a piece of information that fits your preconceived biases. The email was just one piece of information gathered in the aftermath of the attack. While the White House's initial explanation that the attack had begun as a protest turned out to be wrong, the email itself doesn't bear on two of the major remaining questions: what role the video played and whether the attack was planned or spontaneous."

It seems the right's main problem with this (well, aside from just latching onto anything they think they can hang on Obama) is they're pissed that the Admin didn't rush to judgement.

I think they'd have been happier if we just declared that Libya has WMDs, and then invaded that weekend.

Exactly.

This is more than a little bit like the whole F&F kerfluffle, which turned out to be much ado about not much.

When Republicans are in charge, this rush-to-judgment syndrome they suffer leads to a great many more American deaths. Witness 9/11 and the Iraq War.

Bush had warnings well ahead of time on the 9/11 attacks, yet did nothing at all to try to prevent them or intercept the attackers. Thousands died as a result of his incompetence.

To make up for it, he spun a web of lies about Iraq and then got many thousands more Americans killed, again due purely to his incompetence.

And our resident right-wingers had not a bad thing to say about the GOP reactions to either of those things. In fact, they still vigorously defend them.

As Obama said, any time you lose American lives overseas, it's not optimal. But last time I checked the math, four is a hell of a lot less than four thousand. It's even less than 241, which is how many American servicemen Saint Reagan got blown up before he cut and ran from Lebanon in 1983.

The event took 7 hours, from start to finish.

Barry clearly saw all this, shrugged his shoulders, and went up to pack for Vegas. Knowing his ambassador was MIA, chose to do absolutely nothing.

After packing his woobie, and his tooth brush, Barry went off to sleepy time. 3AM ? Came and went, but Barry wasn't gonna lift a finger to help fellow Americans in dire need.
