I dunno, the bumper sticker on the locker I can see folks maybe having an issue about, but politician inspired toilet paper is kinda always funny, and if someone was offended just order him to remove it and give him a lecture.

Nobody was much offended when *I* did exactly the same thing (cept it was Romney on it) in our office, in fact it reduced one person to complete hysterics - although one of the goons said "What, no Obama ?" to which I pulled THAT roll out of my desk and tossed it to him.

I consider mockery to be protected speech, and incidents like this no more offensive than the usual brand of general office prankery.
I STILL have no idea where some jerk got those rubber/plastic staples...

At a private business, it's certainly okay. Municipal workers using municipal facilities? Not so much.

As a homosexual sodomite, Obama is well accustomed to sticking his face in the ass of govt employees, so that's not the problem. Ask Reggie Love.

The problem for govt employees is Obama finding out they didn't vote for him. All incumbents punish those who oppose them on election day. My 1st govt job was hiring only registered Democrats on "The List", and firing all Republicans including the wife of a local mayor.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Y'all don't understand how the 'strict constructionist' Supreme Court has whittled down Constitutional protections.

A private employee has NO Constitutional protections from his employer except in some very narrow areas.

And due to rulings within the last few years a state or local employee has the same lack of protections as well.

The 'strict constructionist' court has taken the tack that the ONLY protections the Constitution gives you is from abuse by the federal government.

Anything else is fair game.

Which is, Kiki - one major reason all of my dealings in that realm are via Contract, with brutal provisions for breaking it.

There's also, with anyone working for me, a more human touch about it, small as we are if there's any kind of real issue one can work it out in a more personal fashion without the kinds of extensive ass covering and legal ludicrousness usually involved in those sorta things...

Not to mention tolerance, me being not fond of religious displays in any case, if no one else has an issue with various decorations let em have them, it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, yanno ?
It was kind of them to ask if it bothered me that the last calender they wanted to hang in the office was kinda religious, but it wasn't offensively so , no harm in it, really.

Of course, my going loopy on folks who try to preach door to door here has as much to do with turf issues as it does me not liking pushy religious folk.
