Yeah, that has to be it. The lying, deceiving the American people, spying on journalists and their parents, , the handing tax $ over to Left wing union supporters , rather than the financial investors of GM who actually put their assets on the line... I could go on, but you'd ignore the facts.

Quote:The Pinocchio Test It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to “smear the president” with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes of e-mails that could not be kept. The fact that slightly different versions of the e-mails were reported by different journalists suggests there were different note-takers as well. Indeed, Republicans would have been foolish to seriously doctor e-mails that the White House at any moment could have released (and eventually did). Clearly, of course, Republicans would put their own spin on what the e-mails meant, as they did in the House report. Given that the e-mails were almost certain to leak once they were sent to Capitol Hill, it’s a wonder the White House did not proactively release them earlier. The burden of proof lies with the accuser. Despite Pfeiffer’s claim of political skullduggery, we see little evidence that much was at play here besides imprecise wordsmithing or editing errors by journalists. Three Pinocchios

Quote:I thought the reaction to this photo was interesting: Yes, the President of the United States of America had a boot Corporal hold an umbrella for him while he gave a speech. The reactions were interesting because people let their political butthurtedness flow into their opinions on the matter. People seem to forget that we’re Marines, and this is exactly the kind of shit that Marines do. Somehow, holding an umbrella for the President and the Turkish Prime Minister is seen as demeaning, while all of the other bullshit that Marines do every day is not. I find it entertaining to see Marines on my Facebook page saying things like, “I would have told him to fuck off and hold his own umbrella.” No you wouldn’t. Shut up. We’re Marines, if the President of the fucking United States asks you to hold a fucking umbrella, you hold a fucking umbrella. As well, the day I give a shit about a boot Corporal holding an umbrella is the day I’ve forgotten what the Marine Corps is. Honestly, holding an umbrella for the President is probably the least demeaning thing I could imagine doing as a Marine, as opposed to the other bullshit I had to do every day. No one would think twice about asking a boot to police call cigarette butts across the entire base at 5am, but the minute this boot has to hold an umbrella for the Commander in Chief, people get upset. He’s the President, he rates an umbrella. Get over it.

Yet when it comes to the people in that very same military coming home and needing the help and support of the American people and the government, where are they? It's left up to the rest of us to help; they happily cut funding and ignore the V.A., because of course once the cannon fodder comes home, they don't give a damn about them. They're only good to send to war and use as political pawns.

Quote:Originally posted by Kwicko: Oh, the outrage! As for the whole saluting thing, presidents really didn't salute servicemembers before Reagan started the practice. Even Dwight Eisenhower didn't do it once he became president. We've been over this before, of course, but righties have tiny little memories, it seems. Heck, most righties can't even remember how badly Reagan dissed the Corps by allowing more than 250 Marines to get blown up, and then "surrendering" by pulling all U.S. forces out of Lebanon. Of course that idiotic quitter Sarah Palin couldn't keep her moronic yap shut: "I supported Bush in 2000 and 2004 and intellegence [sic] had very little to do with that decision." - Hero "I was wrong" - Hero, 2012 Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!" Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."
