I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Wow, what can I say? The pustules of the government-regulated monopoply, oozing IRL.

We have DLS access on a Verizon line, via a third-party DSL provider. Since we contracted with said third-party provider (which leases lines from Verizon) our service, over the years, has dropped from 3 MHz to 1 MHz to ZERO. Why are we paying money per month for NO connectivity? Unfortunately, our DSL service provider has no control over the routers, lines, and switches. All they can offer is the same lame excuse that Verizon offers: You're too far from our switching substation. We're not responsible for capacitance losses.

Really? We weren't too far four years ago, or three years ago, or one year ago. We haven't moved. The lines haven't changed. All Verizon has been doing is gating us: limiting our bandwidth in favor of higher-paying customers, probably.

Also, they really REALLY want to get people off that copper line! In three years, they'll ask the CPUC for another relaxation of the rule that says they need to supply a copper line to every household for emergency purposes. By then, people will have quit in disgust.

Well, screw you, Verizon. We'll keep our copper landline, thankyou. But we'll be going wireless for our PC, and it's NOT gonna be with you!
