America loves a winner!

First, it was the New York Times.

And now this.

In a brutal Monday column, Liz Sidoti, the national politics editor for The Associated Press, takes a look at the Obama Administration's mounting scandals, the president's promises, and the polls. Her conclusion is that Obama's second term is on the verge of imploding.

Oh, and on top of the scandals, Obama has one more problem -- ObamaCare:...

Barry will never be impeached for 3 reasons;

1) He's Black, deal with it

2) He's just a meat puppet and treats the office as ceremonial, he really doesn't know anything about any of these scandals. They don't tell him anything and he's fine with it.
3) President Biden?

Biden is Obama's M.A.D. security blankie. No one is so bat guano crazy to want to see Prez Biden. He's there for 1 reason, and 1 reason only.

It's likely to come to that. Obama's many scandals are making the 2014 midterms look very good for Republicans. If things go well there's no reason not to impeach Obama and have him gone by 2015. Biden's been in Govt for 40 years. He must know something.

They didn't impeach Nixon.

True facts.

You want people who will do this stuff gone, votes and midterms probably aren't gonna change it. I mean you can try, but as far as I can tell it's all a new boss same as the old boss kind of thing.

I don't want this out of the spotlight, I don't want a scapegoat forced retirement - probably Obama - to appease people and then everyone loses interest unless someone brings it up to score political points in an election campaign.

I want to see people jailed. This president, former presidents, senators, the works. I don't want people to be able to say that only one person was targeted because of race or because of party. If we have a working justice system in this country, then our "leaders" should have to answer to the same laws they scramble and game.

And with that single act, Biden's legacy of Presidential leadership would far outshine that of Barack Robespierre Obama's.

Yes, votes probably aren't gonna change it, but that's all we have to work with. There is of course, the military coup d'etat scenario. A few rogue Generals and Admirals, a secret Ecomcon military force, and it's Seven Days In May.

Don't worry. None of it is going away any time soon. The count is now up to at least seven national scandals all under investigation. and they will all be front and center during the next two election cycles.

Watergate took 26 months to unravel and send people to prison. The fallout from all these scandals will likely make Watergate look like a Sunday picnic. The White House will fight back with everything they have before justice is served upon them. Or not.

No one is going to jail because no laws were broken. The FISA court and its warrents are legal. The laws the support these programs were debated in an open congress and voted on.

Then how is it we have members of congress, from both parties, claiming they were never even BRIEFED on any of this ?

Someone is fibbing here.

Since you can pull up C-Span video of the admendment debates and the like it is pretty clear.

Of course members not on certain commitees may not have been briefed on details.

Because laws created by the elite in an oligarchy are the only valid measure of ethics, and the elite only answer to said laws.

Law'l

Pretty sure SOMEONE is going to be the scapegoat here, if just to appease the unruly mobs that the politicians want to vote for them next midterm. There will be people fired and forced to resign - Snowden already was. There might be inquiries. There might not be trials or incarcerations over PRISM due to its "legality," but there might be indiscretions associated with people who were part of it that might be chargeable offenses. Almost certainly no one important like any presidents will get caught in the net, but I can hope.

Perhaps a few lose there jobs, but no one is going to prison. I doubt these programs are even going to stop.

It is frankly irrational to think a Government is not going to tap into data which companies collect, use and sell eveyday.

I would actually like the companies to stop as well, and would like some of them to come under inquiry.

Google's "Don't be Evil" pledge comes to mind...

They won't go to jail for this, which I already CONCEDED, but they might go to jail for something related that IS criminal. And good riddance.

True, but if they also have anything in association with all this that might be legally questionable - such as known connections between datamining companies and identity thieves and malware - then I want that called out and prosecuted as well.

Well. Have you ? Has anyone yet ? I suspect we'll be seeing some retractions and amending of comments, if indeed their memory comes back and it turns out they WERE briefed. Or political opponents now have an open invitation to play some clips of C-Span where those claiming they weren't briefed are shown to be in attendance of them being briefed.

Ahh...so when we're told everyone in Congress was briefed, that doesn't necessarily mean EVERY one, right ?

Yes, they have been playing clips from those debates on various news orgs.

Generally they don't have video of closed door briefings, that is why I was speaking about the laws and the admendments.
