Not only is FauxNews the propaganda arm of the Republican Party, the network is also the top source of misinformation in the media. Remember that 2011 poll conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University ( http://www.scribd.com/doc/73377350/Fairleigh-Dickinson-University-Publ
ic-Mind-Poll
) in New Jersey which found that Fox News viewers are severely less informed than viewers of other news networks. Even viewers of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central are more informed than those who watch Fox.

But who would expect RUSH LIMBAUGH to be telling his listeners not to watch some of the people on FauxNews? But he said this to a caller who mentioned a discussion he heard on Fox News:
Quote:

“Your blood pressure is gonna suffer if you keep watching these people. I mean, they’re designed to get you ticked off. They’re designed to make you question your sanity. You’re gonna watch these people, you’re gonna say, ‘How in the world can we have such idiotic people?’ and you’re gonna think maybe they’re not and you’re crazy.” http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/rush-limbaugh-fox-news-93868.htm
l
]

Now, of course, Limbaugh is backpedaling, explaining
Quote:

I simply said, ‘Oh, Tony,’ when he mentioned Cavuto and Charlie Payne, it’s like he’s watching Fox, and since it’s Payne, it’s got to be the Fox Business Channel. I did not tell anybody to stop watching Fox. I said stop listening to these people that make you so mad. I don’t watch these people that make me mad anymore, I gave that up years ago.

So he's saying don't watch SOME of the people on FauxNews...maybe he needs to send out a list of who to listen to and who not to listen to?

Limbaugh has also had somewhat of a feud with Fox over the immigration reform legislation passed in the Senate.
Quote:

Limbaugh Claims Fox Didn’t Want Him To Talk Immigration On Fox & Friends

Rush Limbaugh claims Fox News producers didn’t want him talking about what he believes to be the negative effects of immigration reform on the Republican Party during his Tuesday morning Fox & Friends appearance. He told his radio listeners that he wanted to discuss his belief that pursuing the Latino vote through immigration reform is a futile effort for the Republicans.

“I told the people at Fox, I wanted to talk about this today three or four times,” he said. “And they wouldn’t do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up.”

“They asked me, ‘What do you want to talk about?’” he recalled. “I didn’t tell them I wanted to talk about Egypt. I didn’t want to talk about Egypt. The first thing out of my mouth: I want to talk about immigration and the state of the Republican Party. Wouldn’t go there. I had to bring it up myself.”

“And that, by the way, is quite telling,” he concluded. http://www.mediaite.com/online/limbaugh-claims-fox-didnt-want-him-to-t
alk-immigration-on-fox-friends/

Gee, are RushBo and FauxNews having trouble getting along?

(Quick, Rap, jump in to tell us how "fair and balanced" FauxNews is and how it's the greatest thing since sliced bread)

To quote Mal to Badger " You're lying . "

Rush never said don't watch Fox. Or even implied it. He told a caller to his show to stop watching LEFTISTS who insist on making false/ asinine claims. His remark had zero to do with FOX.

Catch Rush on The Five today. He'd hardly appear on Fox if he really had told folks to stop watching FOX.

You're a boob.

Pathetic try, Rap. He clearly said not to watch someone who was ON FauxNews, which is what the title says.

“Oh, somewhere on Fox?” Limbaugh asked, which Tony confirmed.

Limbaugh then advised Tony to stop watching, saying such people were intended to “make you question your sanity.”

Aren't you always the one picking nits about "factuality"? Limbaugh asked him if it was on Fox, Tony confirmed, Limbaugh said stop watching. Can't get any more factual than that. Sure, media's spinning it like crazy, but I gave the FACTS...Limbaugh told him to stop watching some people on Fox, period.

Made me smile that you have no argument with what Limbaugh said about Fox and Friends, and how "telling" he found it that they wouldn't let him talk about immigration. Can't find anything to nitpick on that one?

Rush backpeddled because he quickly realized he does not have as much clout as he thought he did.

They often don't get along because they are different beasts. Rush is much like Rappy here. They both think that anyone who disagrees with them in any way is wrong. They don't care for what reality has to say, their beliefs are their reality.

Fox News on the other hand trys to walk a line, appearing to be unbais while pushing there agenda. They also realize that sometimes you have to deal with the reality of a situation.

True that!

He has less than 10% of the population in the US as his listening audience continues to dwindle. I believe it's between 10-20 million listeners, a small fringe audience, that live and die on his every utterance.

But that's slowly changing, as the country's demographics change, and he's scared shitless. In the near future, no more cushy job. America is changing and there's panic in the streets. The white conservative male will no longer be the majority running this country (into the ground that is).

Scary monsters!!!

It wasn't pathetic in the least, Niki. Rush never said it, and you know it, or you know you're lying.

Did you HEAR the call? I did, live. He clearly was talking about the leftists guests, and Rush told him to not listen to THEM, the ones spouting the crap which had made the caller upset. Didn't matter WHERE they were, be it on FOX, msnbc, cbs, or freaking the Daily Show. All Rush said was for him to not listen to them.

Man, I've been waiting all day to come home and tell you how unbelievably wrong you are on this, even more wrong than you've been about anything else.

Man! Feels good. But also, it shows just how warped and jaded you are, to buy into the ultra extreme far Left's lies and spin.

Did YOU hear the show ? I'm guessin you didn't.

It was a great segment. Rush paid high tribute to The Five for their amazing success and ratings dominance. Also loved his sincere statement of respect and 'fear' of Andrea Tantaros. She beamed brighter than usual, as she didn't expect Rush to acknowledge her the way he did.

Dana Perino..... did you know she met her husband while on a commercial flight in 1998? I mean their eyes met, then he just started talking to her, and she fell in love with him before the plane landed. How does that happen with a woman of her intelligence and beauty? Coulda been you or me?...nah!

Andrea Tantaros.... she actually asked Rush today about the "tarantula" thing, and that's what led to his gushing praise of her. A blue collar gal who paid her way through college by working in her dad's Greek restaurant. Smart as a whip, a true Conservative, I love her.

Kimberly Guilfoyle.... the ultimate woman. When she does her little dances to the music during the breaks, my wife usually comes by to slap me in the head. Mr. Cool I ain't.

Whaddaya mean you've not caught it?? She's been on for 2 years, they just celebrated their 500th show. Almost every time they go into a commercial break she starts dancing in her chair, her arms, legs, head, and torso moving and a'groovin' to the music. Then when the show returns from commercial she's still at it until the music fades out. She likes rock and disco.

This , after I've been saying how LITTLE I actually watch, having never seen Kimberly's aforementioned dancing.

But nice try w/ the attempted smear. That poll is hokum, at best. FOX news has some of the best true journalists in the field, from Brit Hume to Chris Wallace. And Jamie Dupree, who appears on Hannity's radio show, is probably the last true reporter in the field there is in America.

http://www.wsbradio.com/weblogs/jamie-dupree/

And to be honest, at the other end of the spectrum, there's FOX n Friends. Worst show for information I've seen anywhere on the news channel. 3 idiots, on a couch ( Though Tucker Carlson and Allyson Camerota do add sanity to the rest of the crew )

That explains a lot about Rap, how much he has invested in being "right" and why he argues to the death here. Very sad, but also amusing that he's got so MUCH invested!

I did hear the tape, by the way. Then there's the basic fact that I never lied, nor was anything I quoted wrong. Rush Limbaugh definitely told the guy that some people on FauxNews make you crazy and not to listen to them. That's accurate, as is everything else I posted. The fact that Rush now claims he was talking about "leftists" on FauxNews makes no difference; nowhere did I or the articles I posted say otherwise. And I never once claimed anywhere that Rush told people not to watch FauxNews. And Rap has never even acknowledged the other issue Limbaugh had with FoxNoise, an issue which is crystal clear from RushBo's own words.

All very amusing, if pathetic. I didn't think about this since I last posted, had a lovely run with the dogs this morning, and I will go on with my day and not think about it again until the topic comes up, unlike Rap, who apparently will obsess on it and not be able to wait until he can get back here and post on it some more, call me a liar, and again ignore the problem Rush had with Fox and Friends and what he said about them.

Your assessment and Shiny's are right on, obviously, but it's sad to watch them twist themselves into pretzels trying to defend Rush and Fox.

Rush Limbaugh Accuses Fox News of Trying to Censor Him: ‘Quite Telling’

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is accusing Fox News producers of trying to prevent him from talking about the damage immigration reform would cause to the Republican Party during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.

“I told the people at Fox, I wanted to talk about this today three or four times,” Limbaugh said. “And they wouldn’t do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up.”

We're having fun watching you twist in the wind. Whatever Rush MEANT, the simple fact is a guy was talking about how pissed off he was about what he was hearing, Rush said "on Fox?", the guy said yes, Rush said "stop listening to those people".

What's funny is if you google "Limbaugh watch Fox News", it's ALL over the place, both his initial statement, his back-pedaling, and it being spun from both directions, pages and pages and pages of it, hee, hee, hee! I love one that's making the rounds: "Limbaugh: Media trying to drive a wedge between us". What a gas.

What you don't get is while all you rabid righties are jumping up and down in indignation and hollering "Liar! Liar!", the rest of us are LAUGHING AT YOU.

As to the Fox and Friends thing, it was 1/2 of my initial topic. Of course you don't want to deal with it, because it shows a very clear instance of Rushbo saying something negative about FauxNews. We understand.

Saw this, posted, had a lovely run with the dogs, came back, posted, took the dogs for a sniff walk, came back, posted, now it's getting boring. I'll leave you to have your tantrum by yourself now and find more interesting, actual stuff to engage in.

Look at who I'm comparing him too.. Brian Kilmeade ? Are you serious ? That guy's a tool! I hate the guy.

And Niki, you can spin it as many ways as you like, this only shows the depth of your delusion, and decades of drug use, or just your low innate mental capacity. i heard the show, and the caller, LIVE. I knew exactly what HE was saying, as well as what RUSH was saying, as well as what both meant.

What you may not know, is that Rush works w/ a transcriber, because of his lack of hearing. He has to read the comments from the callers, and often is behind the conversation with his comments. When he says "ON FOX ? " , he's only verifying as to what the caller is saying, and not actually commenting on FOX as the source of the caller's annoyance. That's because he's not talking about FOX, but instead is talking about the LEFT WINGERS , where ever they appear.

You don't get that because it crushes your narrative, so you pretend Rush , the caller are saying exactly what they are NOT. I don't fraking care that " it's all over the internet if you google " what ever... I know, as I heard it myself. I don't need to be told what I heard. And my view's only validated all the more by what Rush said, in his explanation.

You're a fool if you're laughing at anyone here, Niki. Because you're wrong. 100% wrong.

And as for the Fox n Friends nonsense, if it really did happen that way, so what ? It only goes to validate what I've said in this thread already, that being that FnF is a waste of good air time. I don't give two flips if Rush said something negative about FOX in that context... he's RIGHT!

He didn't backpeddle one iota. He saw Leftist sites were falsely reporting what had taken place ( as evidence of dupes here who have swallowed such Left wing tripe ) and all Rush did was rehash what had actually taken place. To clarify for those who may have missed his show ( like Leftists here )

Did Rush 'backpeddle' any on the fracus with the producers of Fox n Friends ? No, as before, all he did was state what had actually taken place. And those folks ARE boobs, for trying to steer the topic away from where Rush wanted to go.

Actually, it's anyone who distorts the facts, and then draws false, fictional conclusions to the things he never actually said.

But this example is a classic case of just how childish and stubborn the Left are when it comes to Rush. Or anything related to the Right in general. Perpetually try to impugn, mock, ridicule, any and everything which doesn't sync up to how THEY want things to be viewed. Hyper over reaction to a non issue, so as to create a ruckus based on a false, fabricated premise, for the expressed purpose of causing dissension and to agitate.

We're dealing w/ folks working on a Jr High mentality here, aching for pointless drama, and nothing more.
