Not guilty, and ....

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz says the prosecutors in the George Zimmerman murder trial should be charged with "prosecutorial misconduct" for suggesting the defendant planned the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. "These prosecutors should be disbarred. They have acted absolutely irresponsibly in an utterly un-American fashion."

Not true. 2 men were stabbed to death, here in Atlanta, and Ray Lewis got away, free and clear.

Not sure where you can say Zimmerman lied about anything, but just as it was w/ the Lewis case, you have cases where men walked after lives were taken.

Here, justice was served.

Alan Dershowitz is right about the incompetency of the prosecutors in this case, but he failed to mention the State Attorney Angela Corey in his condemnation. As in the Casey Anthony fiasco, the State Attorney over-charged the case, even though she knew they didn't have the evidence to back it up. Instead they recklessly placed their bet on emotions and sensationalism.

If Zimmerman had been charged with manslaughter instead of murder from the get go, the prosecution would have been able to design and present a stronger case for that crime from day one. Same with Casey Anthony. She'd be in prison now serving 10 years or more, but the arrogance of these State Attorneys to go for broke has once again blown up in their faces.

No big surprise. And now we know, if you want to murder someone in Florida, just start a fight, and lose - then all's fair.

Meanwhile, the same state sends a black woman with no record to jail for 20 years for firing a warning shot. But those here worried about Zimmerman's right to self defense wont care about her.

I wonder why...?

I'm sure it was because of her race, and nothing else, though one would have to take your word on it. No idea what you're talking about , or what it has to do w/ the Zimmerman trial.

I didn't know this, but maybe we should feel sorry for the douchebags at MSNBC, what will they bitch about now? This trial was pretty much all they were reporting. They'll likely still talk about this for the next few days, they'll have to ween themselves off this story.

If only they spent 1/100th the effort on all the other shootings across America, of blacks, by blacks.

Speaking of msnbc, they're acting as if GZ literally stalked Tryavon down, beat and kicked him, and shot him in the back as he tried to run away.

It's beyond bizarre, the pure delusion that's on display here.

Oh so true! I ONLY watched MSNBC cover the verdict last night because I wanted to see what they were saying and how they dealt with the verdict. Later a little on CNN too. It was even more absurd and pathetic than I could have even imagined. At the same time though, watching them bite their lips and hold back their tears was quite enjoyable....far more enjoyable than the verdict itself which was not really a cause for any good feelings. Both networks kept re-trying the case, over and over, with arguments not based on any evidence from the trial, only based on their own racial biases and hate-mongering. They also sounded and looked disappointed that there were no reports of rioting. The special prosecutor Angela Corey, who was brought in when the State Attorney refused to charge Zimmerman, was the most sickening and pathetic excuse of a delusional denier I've ever seen. She was standing there at the podium, proud as punch, saying how she was right all along, and that her prosecutors did a great job. What the fuck?? She was almost as proud as the losing prosecutors from the Casey Anthony trial, who said they did everything right also and deserved to win.

Don't these people realize that by making reckless statements to cover their sorry asses after they lose their case, all they are doing is casting doubt and undermining the integrity of the American jury / justice system. They ALL should lose their law licenses.

These racial witch hunts must stop. How many more Duke Lacrosse Team, Crown Heights, or Tawana Brawley fiascos are people expected to tolerate? Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Holder, Obama are all race-mongering political opportunist hypocrites.

Duke Lacrosse team is a prime example. Poor black woman, subjected to perform the most demeaning task, to a bunch of over privileged rich WHITE boys, and then gets treated like an object, to be discarded after they were done having their way with her...

That it didn't happen, doesn't matter. That she LIED, isn't the issue. Duke is a exclusive school, IN THE SOUTH, and we alllll know how them white Southerns really feel about them black folk.

Found another tweet -

“All them jurors should go home tonight and kill themselves for letting a grown man get away with killing a kid." - roddy white , ATL Falcons receiver.

ALL the women of the jury, 5 of which who are mothers themselves, should just go home and commit suicide. THAT'S the brilliant solution this idiot has for not getting the verdict he wanted, which would have turned the law upside down.

Where's the protest form the N.O.W. gang against this comment ? Even Rush Limbaugh never told Ms Fluke to go kill herself.

Really? You want to go with this nonsense, all over again?

OK, I'll play - the EVIDENCE shows it was Trayvon, who started the fight. His sole injuries were on his knuckles ( from throwing punches ) and the gunshot wound.

That does not prove Trayvon started the fight. Zimmerman could have grab Martin first. Which would not have caused any injuries, but under Florida law would have been battery. So you, nor anyone else can prove who started the fight.

Zimmerman was acquitted because a lack of evidence, not because he was proven not guilty. In fact in just about any other state he would be behind bars because he would not have had enough evidence to prove self defence.

The end. Except... well the evil in the country didnt like their PRECIOUS thug being put down. I mean, after all, if this happened... they could ALL be at risk. How could they ever continue their ways if people could and would stand up to them?

So....TRIAL! Yeah thatll fix em! Except, even after trying to fix the outcome... they failed.

GZ, I dont know him. But this has given everyone who stands for what is right and good something the evil never could.

HOPE.

More like special editions... very.... special.

Factually, the State compromised the right to a fair trial, which is IMHO a walkaway - problem is, the State tried to compromise it in his favor, blatantly cherry picked jury, prosecutor takin a dive, DOJ leaning on the judge, selective leaks, and so forth - but it still compromises it.

Of course, that's win-win for them as should there have been a revolt and conviction, they could then throw it out for the very errors they introduced.
What this does, in the end beg the question of whether our justice system is any better than an arbitrary lynch mob, especially given the other case mentioned in contrast to this one, and the answer comes back as "nope", which quite properly erodes trust in a system that deserves none.
Bitter pill that it is, facing acknowledgement of that reality is the first step towards changing that reality - especially in light of the fact that despite every attempt official and otherwise, to provoke (IMHO justified) riots out of this, so fail that has failed... although I worry for what'll happen when the next incident occurs as the powers that be have proven untrustworthy and so forth and so on.

There's no good to be had here, but showing how broken and rigged our so-called justice system is as much as can be taken from it, in hopes of bringing reform if at all possible.

Side Note: additional reason for the State to rig things this way, is that were Zimm to catch the deserved conviction, it then opens THEIR agents, and the attempted cover up, to that anathema to all State activity... accountability.

The Picture Of Trayvon On Night He Was Shot That The Joomedia Didn’t Show

The picture the MSM showed was of course when Martin was much younger.

This picture, of him buying the Skittles and ice tea, shows a young man towering over the store clerk. Of course, height doesn’t make the aggressor, but it shows that he was not the “young child” portrayed by media. This picture didn’t fit the narrative.

In 513 Days Between Trayvon Dying and the Zimmerman Trial Verdict, 11,106 Blacks Have Been Murdered by OTHER BLACKS

To be exact, the shameful truth is that 93% of African-American murders are committed by other African-Americans. That is breathtakingly awful when you consider how incensed the African-American community is about the Trayvon tragedy, no matter what you believe about Zimmerman’s guilt.

Let’s do the gruesome math, not out of morbidity, but because it manifests the incredible self-centered insanity of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

8,000-9,000 African-Americans are murdered each year.

93% of them by other African-Americans.

That’s 7,905 (from average)

That’s 21.65 murdered each day by other African-Americans.

And these racebaiting culture-hustling microphone-pimps only get riled up when a “White Hispanic” kills an African-American? It’s absolutely shameful.

Leaving aside PNs rather obvious baiting here, I did spot one photo of a so-called "rioter" which made me laugh...

This was the best I could do to scale up the originally smaller image.

Again, the shoes, always the shoes - mind you, as SOON as people noticed that AP went and cropped the bottom of the photo, not like those pants ain't a dead giveaway too.

And this slightly larger/clearer one after they did, with a little wider angle.

Okay, this is OBVIOUSLY staged, I don't see much of a crowd, or crowd reaction, and this beefy white guy is supposed to be a "rioter", yeah, riiiiight, even his fucking posture screams cop, not to mention that garbage can looks awful new, and the window he's chucking it at appears to be of a conveniently empty storefront.

Ah, and while posting someone found me a copy of the original AP photo for best quality.

Go on, tell me that ain't a cop, tell me this isn't a staged bullshit photo.

Yes. Never. I said EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT, but not specific as to who STARTED the fight. But the witness's version DOES back up what Zimmerman said, with TM being on top, throwing punches.

Bright ain't what you are, is it ?

Yes, there was a witness, to them fighting. That witnesses account, along w/ all the other physical evidence, lines up fairly accurate to how Zimmerman related the story.

And some here are so petty, they confuse me being correct with 'lying', so obsessed with trying to get ANY sort of a 'win' on these boards, it's utterly warped what small minds they may have once had.

I have not had much to say lately cause its been pretty busy round here lately.

This case didn't go wrong in trial, there should never have been a trial. If one thing was clear from the start of the State's case its that there was no evidence to support a conviction. Witness after witness lined up to support Zimmerman's version of events. The scientific evidence, eyewitnesses, the injuries, his statements were all consistant with each other and with the narrative that Zimmerman was getting pummeled from Martin who was on top and fired his weapon during that assault.

The injuries to Zimmerman are compelling, but more compelling was the lack of inury to Martin. If Zimmerman started the fight, which is the ONLY way he could be guilty, then there would have been some injury to Martin, however slight. The only injury was to Martin's hands and they were consistant with the beating he was giving Zimmerman.

Assuming the State's version was true, Zimmerman's crime was not singling Martin out for being black, following him, or confronting him...none of that is illegal. The crime begins only if Zimmerman initiated the fight. They could not prove he started it because there was not one shred of evidence he did. More to that there was not one shred of evidence he racially profiled him or confronted him. In fact, the only one evidencing any racial thought was Martin. From his friend's testimony its clear that he identified Zimmerman as a 'cracker' and then confronted Zimmerman about following him.

Prosecutor's have discretion. I have had to say no to police, the Mayor, and victims. Its hard, especially when there is a sympathetic victim or political pressure. But its the Prosecutor's job to say no if a case fails to meet a probable cause standard. I'll prosecute a weak case, but I wont prosecute a case that does not meet that minimum standard. The State should never have charged this case. Further, the Judge is at fault here. A Judge should have stepped in and prevented this from ever going to a jury. The State failed to meet its minimum burden, this Judge should have ended this during the motion for aquital at the end of the State's case or the second motion at the end of the Defense case (in Ohio that's a Rule 29 motion).

Frem analyzed that well; and it provided me an excellent education on what a set-up looks like. I see what he means about the shoes, and it's sad they think we're really all that stupid. Looks like a perfectly normal scene, and there was supposedly a photog who just happened to be passing by and raised his camera at just the right instance to catch the one guy doing something. Even without the analysis and naïve as I am, I'd have questioned that one, but the shoes and empty store front were a good catch.

All in all just another sad day in America, and the conversation here shows just how far we still have to go , sadly.

You're 100% right, but race mongers and ambitious politicians don't care about facts or the law. The original State Attorney refused to act on this case because she knew there was no case. Under pressure from outside "civil rights" forces, another State Attorney was named as Special Prosecutor (Angela Corey), and she decided, for political reasons only, to forge ahead with a ridiculous murder charge. As Alan Dershowitz said after the verdict, the prosecution of this case was reprehensible, and they should all be disbarred.

And along comes Zero to show up yet another major flaw in the system, prosecutors grown lazy and stupid from the convenience of being handed a stacked deck with a cherry picked jury spoonfed a carefully edited narrative and fed bogus instructions in order to reach a predetermined result, along with public defenders taking that helpful dive....
Unless of course the State's requirement goes the other way.

Seriously, Zero, shoulda remained silent and been thought a fool instead of proving it, dumbass.

Quote:

This case didn't go wrong in trial, there should never have been a trial. If one thing was clear from the start of the State's case its that there was no evidence to support a conviction.

Motive-Means-Opportunity, all three present, and Zimm spouting a racial slur, then initiating a confrontation in defiance of both procedure and police instruction, and failing to identify himself, these are not in doubt - just cause one of your buddies took a dive for the DOJ and you feel the need to circle the wagons doesn't somehow magically enable you to convince us of your bullshit.

Quote:

Witness after witness lined up to support Zimmerman's version of events.

"Witnesses" who weren't even THERE, and testifying not only in complete opposition to known physical evidence, but "Witnesses" who repeatedly changed their statements when confronted with contrary evidence, yeah, real credible, that - and a suspect who blatantly lied in an official report, and repeatedly changed his story as well, unless you are proposing Martin had some sort of teleportation ability and could have jumped him from behind while in front of him and in sight, and suggesting that the 911 call log is a fake.

Quote:

The scientific evidence, eyewitnesses, the injuries, his statements were all consistant with each other and with the narrative that Zimmerman was getting pummeled from Martin who was on top and fired his weapon during that assault.

Is that so - then where's the powder burns on Martins hoodie ?
And again you use the term "eyewitnesses" in the same breath as telling us there's no evidence cause no one saw what happened, which are mutually contradictory statements, and telling us Zimmermans ever-varying accounts are consistant is downright laughable.

Quote:

The injuries to Zimmerman are compelling, but more compelling was the lack of inury to Martin. Horse Shit, as a lawyer, you should at LEAST comprehend the law - I've seen one resident hauled off for assault for no more than shoving his girlfriend in front of a cop, once intentional, unwanted physical contact occurs (such as Zimmerman grabbing Martin or in any way laying hands on him) that's assault, you KNOW this, or you ought to.
What REQUIRES injury in order to be prosecuted is battery, in some states specifically Felony battery, but mere assault doesn't require injury... especially prevalent in how cops arrest folk for accidental or incidental contact, or even something so minor as a mere finger poke.

Quote:

Assuming the State's version was true, Zimmerman's crime was not singling Martin out for being black, following him, or confronting him...none of that is illegal. Nice slither, but we both know the legal definition of direct evidence versus indirect evidence, so that there's a lie of omission, buddy - plenty of indirect evidence, along with non-credible testimony bordering on downright perjury.

Quote:

More to that there was not one shred of evidence he racially profiled him or confronted him.

Outside of using a racial slur during a recorded 911 call, and the beginning of that confrontation being recorded by Martins cellphone, you mean ?
You really shoulda stopped digging - we're not a closeted bunch of cherry picked nimrods you can insulate from facts inconvenient to your bullshit story, remember ?

Quote:

In fact, the only one evidencing any racial thought was Martin. From his friend's testimony its clear that he identified Zimmerman as a 'cracker' and then confronted Zimmerman about following him.

You mean the friend who admitted being threatened in order to provide it, and then recanted it when that threat was removed, yes ?

Quote:

I find that even less credible than your other statements, given the preponderance of evidence directly opposed to it, while it might be "their job" technically to say no to a case that fails probable cause, for damn sure that isn't the common result.

You ain't helping your cause here, believe it - of course we both know you're really pandering to gullible and easily manipulated morons like Jongsie who will lap it right up without question regardless of how obviously preposterous it is cause it's what they WANT to believe, and damn the facts.... right Jongsie ?

Yeah, that's right wulfster, that THUG really knew his shit. He was so thuggish that he carried with him his weapon of choice - ICE TEA, oh yeah and skittles.

Zimmerman would have peed his pants if he came upon a Real Thug. Someone with a gun who would have shot his ass. And you guys would scream Bloody Murder. I hope he goes on the prowl again, I really do, and I hope he comes across a real criminal. And I hope that guy comes with guns a-blazing.......

Then let's see how "brave" he is.

An unarmed kid scared the shit out of him, BULLSHIT!!!

He stalked him, said "Now I can be a cop, and capture me a real thug"
One small problem with that. He was a 17 year old kid going home to watch a basketball game. This stupid fucker wanted to shoot somebody, but he didn't have the balls to go after a real criminal, so he picks on this kid. He'll get his, mark my words - he'll come up on the wrong MAN and have his balls handed to him.

Have a nice day!
