Hot off the presses!

Michigan Prosecutor Kym Worthy charging the man who shot the unarmed 19 year old girl with second degree murder. The prosecutor was very professional in holding a press conference. She stated that race is not an issue "not to our charging decision." This should be interesting.

Very Professional ?
Seriously, you don't know Kym Worthy!

Mind you, the guy does deserve to fry for this, but instead of properly nailing his ass to the wall by the book, she's gonna whip up a media circus, throw race and partisanship into the mix if she can, and bang her own little self-glorification drum to take attention off the fact that her praetorian guard, aka the DPD, murders people like this all the time without so much as a blink - and does she prosecute them ?

What's *REALLY* gonna piss me off is that if her actions wind up spiking the case, or backlash against her gamesmanship lets this guy walk, and you can bet her little media shills won't be trumpeting THAT, if it happens.

Hey Frem,

I was not aware of her media whore background, although I did find the whole say and spell your name a bit much. Thanks for the heads up!
I will keep my eye on this case, and yeah the guy deserves to fry.

Oh it's much, much worse than that, SGG - this goes back a bit before even Kwame (which was also her fault) given that Worthy and her little cabal more than any other factor is the REASON Detroit is the hellzone that it currently is.
I expounded on that some in this thread.

So while the guy deserves whatever comes, ain't no way in hell what comes down the pike could be considered "justice", in a legal sense.
Kind of like Mortons fork there, he'll likely fry, but for all the wrong reasons.

Keep the Shiny side up

So Frem, do you think that this guy's way overboard response to a late night door-knock has anything at all to do with the DPDs remarkable lack of response to 911 calls?

I noticed it as a recurring theme in the Reason videos you posted.

"When your heart breaks, you choose what to fill the cracks with. Love or hate. But hate won't ever heal. Only love can do that."

Unfortunately yes, I do believe that to be a factor, this isn't the only case where such a thing has happened, locally or otherwise, just that this one happened to draw attention.

Hell, even when you do call 911, what's that get you - the DPD are every bit if not more trigger happy, and that's not just DPD, similar situation in North Carolina, same result.

Thankfully that won't happen here, the sound of a vehicle crash will bring my guards, or me, at a lope, to offer aid and assistance without regard to fault, intoxication or what-have-you, them issues can be worked out later, as we're not law enforcement - never had anyone actually wreck IN the complex so far, but there's been a couple on the street beside it, yeah.

And one case, on a particular Xmas eve, of a young yuppy couple running out of fuel due to a broken fuel gauge right across from us, and noticing how all manner of tempting THAT was gonna be to the potentive yahoos on the other side of the street, especially when they started to panic, I rounded em up and got em five gallons of fuel to speed them on their way and wished em a happy holiday - mostly cause I really didn't want the paperwork and hassle involved if they got mugged, plus that might upset my residents.
