Speaking directly to you Frem, but I would love to know if other people have...

The progression of music is kind of grim if you watch it just with that. I knew it wasn't the happiest ending in the world but I think this video left out a song or two at the end.....

The Brave Little Toaster.

I think every kid should see it once. Hell... I think every adult should see it once if they haven't already.

I'm pretty sure you've seen it, but watch it if you haven't. My bros and I must have watched it like 50 times.

I was super good at the VCR at 5 years old and recorded anything I knew was going to be on. :)

Mind you, I do like some of the most ridiculously fluffy stuff sometimes, combination of being inured to it via being the one to "vet" stuff for other peoples kids to make sure it's appropriate, and having life experiences so horrible that kind of thing works as an antidote to it - even my "Survival Mantra" is horribly glurge-inducing, seriously, THIS is what goes through my head when trying to not-die from sickness/injury, and staved off both a stroke and a myocardial infarction in the past couple years long enough for me to reach medical attention on my own.

Of course, the dark side of this, and I don't do it to kids, but adults are fair game, is finding something that *SEEMS* this fluffy at first....
And then goes south in a big, big way, and I DO NOT WARN THEM.

Stuff like Higurashi, School Days, Madoka Magica, Elfen Lied, Now and Then, Simoun, Mirai Nikki....
At first glance it all looks happy fluffy, meh heh heh.

Case in point - Higurashi.
(in this case, you was warned)

Mind, usually I do this to folk who insist all Anime is kiddy cartoon stuff.
