Saw a fascinating report on Friday regarding the Kurds battling ISIS in Kobani.
Men and women fighting side by side to defend what little they have, using home made grenades, spit balls and small arms to combat nearly 40,000 ISIS fighters.

Listen to this:

They carry with them a bullet, called the Bullet of Honor. If they feel that they are about to get caught by ISIS..................they shoot themselves rather than be captured. That's BALLS in the biggest sense. These are true modern day freedom fighters.

Of course, we may be fighting them in about 10 years time. Our country should support them.

America loves a winner!

Kurds have always been on our side, best I can tell. They are more of the model of what a free society can be, in that part of the world. They tolerate more than just 1 religion.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why my country hasn't done more to help them. Even going back to Bush 41.

Go Kurds.

It's because of Turkey. America loves Turkey. America needs Turkey. America will never do anything to upset Turkey. America loves to have 'Muslim' Turkey in NATO, and besides, who else we got in the region? And when Turkey denies air space or staging grounds to thwart American operations we just shrug it off ... yanno, them's the breaks. The Turks hate the Kurds as much as Saddam did, and are willing to sit there and watch from the hills across the border as ISIS slaughters Kurds. And when a group of American sailors on shore leave in Turkey get beat up by a Turkish mob, and then the arrested attackers are released, America just says oh well.

You make some good points, the USA has a hard-on for Turkey, but, to be fair, that region is a mess.

Truthfully, we should back the Kurds because they are a lot like us in regard to patriotism, plus they're good fighters.

That would be all the Democrats who got thrown out of office on November 4th, right?

931 State Legislators
12 House Reps
11 Governors
10 Lt. Governors

9 Sen - a - tors

4 Calling Birds
3 French Hens
2 Turtle Doves

And a lame duck president in a pear tree.

I? .. Me? .. Moi? ... make some good points? Wow! I probably should appreciate that you responded with that, considering I get zilch back from the person I was responding to ... but for some reason your tiny nod doesn't quite make as strong an impression as something else you said to me a few days earlier.

Just in time for Thanksgiving. Of course America loves Turkey - you don't expect Public Schools to explain the difference between food and fags, do you? America cannot turn it's back to the gay Turks or the Gays of America will have a fit.

I have long thought goodwill to the Kurds. I might be a bit fuzzy, but it seemed they got the short shaft in the post-WWII negotiations, and have actually made the most of what they were left with.
