I challenge you to get off your fucking ass and actually have a real fucking opinion! Opinions are like assholes. Nearly everyone has got one and most stink. Now let's talk about something far more substantial than debates, opinions, and democracy: The Families Funding the 2016 Presidential Election Do you want to see the houses of the super-rich and super-powerful in Houston? Some of the people who run the USA? There is a map to their homes. Go throw a rock at their windows. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/10/11/us/politics/2016-presidential-election-super-pac-donors.html This remarkable piece of reporting by Confessore, Cohen, and Yourish documents the fact that campaign finance this election cycle is dominated by a tiny number of extremely wealthy people — more than half the total campaign money is from just 158 families. This money is overwhelmingly flowing to Republicans. 138 families are supporting Republicans. 20 families are supporting Democrats. Families in both energy and finance have businesses throwing off enormous amounts of cash — unlike industries in which wealth is tied up in investments. Those families have unusual freedom to indulge their political passions. These families are buying political access. Rules will be set not in the public interest but in the interest of these rich families, who use those rules to become yet richer and more influential. To worry about the consequences of extreme rich families buying Congress and the Presidency has nothing to do with being envious of the rich and everything to do with the certainty that rapidly growing top incomes are a threat to the well being of everyone else.

We've come to the point that the American Government is working Best ONLY when it's fighting each other and NOTHING gets done. Anything else is toxic to all of US. You're being silly. Canada just had all power move to the other political party. That happens in a Parliamentary system. And Canadians are not demanding that Canada switch to a Presidential system with divided powers where nothing gets done. The countries that copied features from the US Constitution -- in Central and South America -- have bad government. And that fundamental crappiness designed into government has become very apparent in the US. Go quickly and tell Canadians that the US Constitution is so superior that Canada should immediately copy it or else the USA will invade them and bring true democracy and FREEDOM to all of North America. How can the USA continue to allow a Prime Minister to menace the USA along its entire northern border!!!
