DHS report: Citizens of travel ban countries "rarely implicated" in U.S.-based terrorism

Trumps guy General Kelly is head of DHS, and his agencies report says ban will do no good. We already know the vast amount of harm it has already done. Trump shows he is the worst person to make decision about how to fight terrorism. The guy doesn't have a clue and is listening to the wrong people. You stand a greater chance of dying falling out of bed then being killed by someone from one of these countries.

An intelligence report compiled by DHS’ Intelligence and Analysis Unit has concluded that citizens affected by President Trump’s travel ban are “rarely implicated in U.S.-based terrorism.”

The report concluded that “country of citizenship is unlikely to be a reliable indicator of potential terrorist activity,” and it says that “relatively few” of the citizens of these countries maintain access to the U.S.” The countries named in the president’s original travel ban were Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan and Yemen.

How DARE CBS news report something contrary to what his royalness Trump says is true! Ban them! We don't want Intelligence! That gets too complicated. We want followers and yes people. Get with the program of get gone.



Some think this is why he banned the press. To get people to look at that and miss this report. Didn't happen though.

Trump’s DHS Pick Disagrees With Him on Muslims, Border Wall

Donald Trump's pick to oversee U.S. border protection, immigration control and homeland security on Tuesday broke with the president-elect's apparent plan to follow through on registering all Muslims already in the country and to block Muslims immigrating from countries with high levels of Islamic extremism.


"I don't think it's ever appropriate to focus on something like religion as the only factor," retired Marine Gen. John Kelly said in Senate testimony Tuesday. The Associated Press




Donald Trump's pick to oversee U.S. border protection, immigration control and homeland security on Tuesday broke with the president-elect's apparent plan to follow through on registering all Muslims already in the country and to block Muslims immigrating from countries with high levels of Islamic extremism.

"I don't think it's ever appropriate to focus on something like religion as the only factor," retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, Trump's pick to serve as secretary of homeland security, told a congressional panel Tuesday.


In responding to questions from the Senate Homeland Security and Government Oversight Committee, Kelly, who retired as chief of U.S. Southern Command in early 2016, indicated it would be unconstitutional to target people based on their religion and might do more harm than good.


Kelly referenced his time as a combat commander in Iraq, when the U.S. strategy focused on working with senior clerics and other Muslim leaders within the country's Sunni communities, known at the time as the "awakening."


"Our success in Iraq, certainly my time in Iraq, was because I outreached with people across the spectrum of society, all of whom were Muslim," Kelly said. "We convinced them we were there for good, not evil, that we were there to protect them."
