Imperfect article has perfect point. I get that she had the worst day ever, but I've read it three times and I'm still not sure that story translates in regards to politics well.

BTW, I've also had the "askew elbow rub", the "side slide" and the "oops, sorry wasn't watching where I was walking" pervs. I was never warned by my mother, but my kid has been warned to knock the nards off anyone that tries it... Pervs have been warned.

WOW! That sounds like a lot of people here! How many times have KIKI and I been called "Russian trolls" and many other names for trying to have a rational discussion? How many times has SIX been called a "Nazi"? Who is it who thinks it's OK to punch random people because he thinks they "deserve it"? Who was it, again, that called half of the voting public "deplorables? WISHY, how many times have YOU name-called?

People are waaay too quick to escalate; it seems to be a common problem lately, and not just limited to people of one political party.

As far as TRUMP is concerned ... would you prefer someone who claims to "feel your pain" while they take away benefits from the poor and give them to the wealthy? Or someone who speaks in soothing tones of peace while they kill abroad?

And what do you suppose is happening to Trump? A LOT of baseless accusations are being flung at him. If I were Trump, I sure wouldn't mind needling my detractors once in a while; his response is a pale shadow of what's been heaped on him. Now, tell me that isn't true.

Seems like people should LOOK IN THE FUCKING MIRROR ONCE IN A WHILE instead of thinking of themselves as poor helpless innocent victims all of the time. Don't you think that would be helpful?

How do we revive the economy, and what should it look like

It got so bad, may I remind you, that one entire thread was removed from this board and sent to TROLL COUNTRY by a webmaster who otherwise hardly interferes anywhere.

So.

Take a good look around this forum, SHINY, and attempt to be at least a little objective. I'm MORE THAN WILLING TO BE CIVIL to people who are civil to me. I take a lot more insults than give. But I'm not a saint, I'm not fucking-Jesus-on-a-cross, willing to die for your sins.

So, if YOU want to be civil, let's start this again. If I find your comments or posts out of line, I'll let you know without hitting back. If you find the same, you let ME know. We will find each others' boundaries and we can learn to avoid them. If I find that you're consistently not willing to back off, it's back to the old two-by-four mode of communication. I think this can work. It's up to you to decide if you want to continue being uncivil or not.
