On this board and elsewhere, over the years, the average of my life is a dumb fuck. I keep evolving, but anyone who met me anywhere along the line experience dumb fuckery, at least on a political level.

That said, that's probably the average of the human condition

Now we have to survive an apocalypse together

let's try to do that and survive and not worry about who is right or wrong

A parable for dreamtrove:

In the Firefly episode Ariel, the Hands of Blue guys could have captured River, but they slowed down their pursuit in the hospital to kill everyone along the way to River. Each time that Jayne was about to turn around and go back toward the Hands of Blue because he is lost in the hospital corridors, there is all this screaming as the Hands of Blue guys stop to kill still more people. Each time Jayne thinks that maybe going back toward the screaming is not such a smart idea. The Hands of Blue guys never caught River because they were too slow and the screaming death kept warning Jayne, Simon and River to run faster.

What does this got to do with dreamtrove? There are many people who have a primary goal, equivalent to capturing River, but they slow down or waste their energy because they get on these side missions of killing witnesses, or in dreamtrove’s case, trolling people they disagree with or misunderstand. The Hands of Blue should have followed their primary goal and gone directly toward River, stopping to kill only when Simon or Jayne stand in the way. Dreamtrove has got a primary goal and I’m pretty sure the goal can be reached without so much drama if there was less trolling (vaccines are genocide/vaccines are killing dreamtrove and friends) along the way to dreamtrove’s goal.

But the practice won't exist after this
as zero vaccine supporters will survive
and precious few of the opponents
because it's contagious

I've got another Firefly parable for dreamtrove:

In the Serenity movie, the Operative intends to kill River, but he gets into dramatic side adventures that end with him unnecessarily killing all the people in Haven, and Mr Universe, and even three people at the institution where River was being surgically altered to make her telepathic. The Operative could have moved along very quickly to capture River without so much drama if he had just not killed everyone along the way, or attempted murdering Mal. Holding Mal and Inara as hostages to be exchanged for River makes so much more sense, but lacks the drama of a fight to the death. Near the movie's end, where the Operative has reached his goal, he does not order the killing of River. At the very end, the Operative is even standing out in the rain telling Mal he won't kill River. What has all the Operative's dithering about River and killing the wrong people have to do with dreamtrove?

I was going to write a story about what happens next to the Operative. I'd call it River Tam and the Problem of Evil. None of the Firefly comic books have gone to a story where the Operative realizes he made the wrong decision and he should have killed River because she will destroy the Alliance. The Operative eventually switches one more time when he realizes that killing River would destroy the Alliance. It is so confusing when the future is unknowable.

For dreamtrove: Is the future the vaccine is genocide? Is the future the vaccine will save us? Nobody but a psychic or River knows. And more than that, River can change the future. For the best Firefly story, I believe River tells the truth when she says, "No power in 'Verse can stop me." None of the Firefly comics or novels believe her, but the writers should try a story where River truly knows what she is talking about while everybody else is only worrying and guessing at what the future will be.

In ALL possible futures I am dead, but unlike most people, that doesn't change my goals while alive. I never worry about karma, reincarnation, resurrection, heaven, the after-life, etc, etc because this life, right now, is my eternal life.

Perhaps you weren't following DT b4 like I was, but DT has always been an "outside the box" thinker, sometimes waaaaay outside the box. This is nothing new for DT. I listen to DT bc sometimes revelations come forth. In researching DT's concerns I learned a lot. None of it confirmed his worries, but it DID point to cytokine storm. In researching cytokine storm I may have found some of the answers to my problems.

I don't think 100% of people who don't get it will die, but it will be high

It's probably not whether you get it, but how you react when you do. If you're like might as well vax, and then your lungs explode, well there's that

but for the rest of us, we have to manage having been hit with a bioweapon

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

I was wondering how these diverging views were going to play out:
Jack, who claims nobody died from SARS-CoV-2 v DT, who claims that nobody will survive the vax. And in both cases, being right involves denying a huge chunk of reality. Jack who denies anybody died, and DT who'll have to deny all the people who survive.

It'll be an interesting debate.

But in the meantime, DT, I think at the moment you should instead please be taking care of yourself. There'll be enough time to wrangle later.
