Stop buying the shit you don't need, and before long the added benefit of this course will be the available labor shrinking so much that they will once again be in demand and wages will increase to make up a lot of the lost revenue from a 2 working parent home.

Keep your kids out of school, and keep the power to choose what's best for your family in your own hands. All most public education centers are these days are extremely expensive day care centers and your kids aren't learning shit anyhow, outside of extremely left-wing indoctrination and how to be nothing more than a mere cog in the machine.

There are plenty of online means to brush up on your own schooling if you need it so you can teach your kids how to read, write and math at home, as well as homeschooling programs which are much more affordable than sending them to school is.

Maybe you could start a garden with them, and teach them how to cook with the free time. It doesn't hurt to pound the occasional nail with a hammer either. Hell... 60% of grown ass adults in America in 2021 don't know how to change a flat tire. 50% of American's aren't even confident they could change the oil in their car with 30% of them not even sure they'd be able to buy the right oil for the job.

Our public school system is a total failure. Tell them where they can put their demands.

100 years ago, a family was supported with one income earner per household. The other parent managed to stretch the funds as far as possible - called Home Economics, which was a course set in public school.

Then almost 80 years ago, women demanded that the workforce needed to be doubled so that the income per earner would be halved, and since that was accomplished, most households require 2 incomes to support the family. Even higher income families have 2 earners, just so neither is forced to deal with raising the children.
