Though this article isn't incorrect in anything that it states, and though it does point out several reasons things are so inter-connected, it fails to address the REAL problem that led us to this point.

That reason is Six-Sigma.

If we were living in 1992 instead of 2022, anything that the Biden* Administration did in the last year and a half would not have resulted in a shortage of baby formula.

We've spent decades streamlining everything until every single aspect of our globalized economy was a well-oiled machine that was designed for minimum input yielding maximum output.

That's all well and dandy, but these decisions were all based on the premise that nothing would ever change for the worse and things would always just roll along like they always had (in recent memory).

Lost in the Six-Sigma shuffle were the contingency plans... The highly skilled labor... The "in case of emergency break glass" solutions to unexpected problems.

We didn't just have one wrench thrown into the machine. We had a full mechanic's set of wrenches tossed into it by our failed Democrat "leadership" for two years now.

Don't expect this to go away in a year, or two years. It is going to take a decade or more to ever get the machine up and running to full capacity again. And that's assuming that we even can do that now. There is a chance that we never will be able to.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden* has all of the baby formula. He's got it sitting on the Southern border for all of the illegal babies to drink when the cross the border illegally.

Meanwhile, a New York mom just paid $250 to some sociopathic baby formula scalper for 4 small cans of the only brand that her baby will stomach.

This is what you get when you vote Democrat.

Glad it's happening during the worst inflation in 40 years. People are actually paying attention this time.
