I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Paul "Of the Hundred Orders" Bremer issued some doozies. These CPA orders establish Iraqi coporate taxes (low), tarrifs (none), ownership (foreign), liabilities (none), auditors (USA-appointed) and locale of adjudication (USA) for foreign busineses operating in Iraq. The orders are still in force.

In addition, $2B in Iraqi oil revenues were directly transferred to Halliburton to avoid USA Federal contracting scrutiny. Contracting corruption (at the USA end) is rampant.

Now, since apparently the US troops secured the oil assests first but let the rest of the infrastructure go, and "reconstruction" funds are being diverted to Halliburton, do you suppose that Iraqis may have a reason to feel just a bit... pissed?
